My Gran was the most influencial person in my life. She passed years ago, but I can see her and her beautiful smile steaming from the clouds when i hear beautiful melodies like this
These images are great, they capture the essence of the track perfectly, and nice to see tributes to the brilliant and unique Sid Barrett & Rick Wright. Amazing music that will always live on....
blasting this in a car is great. it'd be cool to see how it'd sound with an actual system in a car, or better yet, with a million huge speakers in a concert hall
The sound at 4:14 always reminded me of Star Trek (original series). It sounds just like when the lever is pushed at the console for beaming someone up or down.
The sound at 4:14 always reminded me of Star Trek (original series). It sounds just like when the lever is moved at the console for beaming up or down.
Cirrus Minor and Grantchester Meadows were two of our favorite songs in the early 1970's when we used to trip in Frick Park, Homewood Cemetery, and Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. What lovely days they were!
@psychonautpsychosis I hear this every summer after-noon when I am at my home. Its hot and the sun is still about to release its rest of the fury for the day and the dessert cooler had just stopped to make this song audible to the resting birds in the garden of my home. And I look at the pond near next to my home.
this song is not just trippy and peaceful. there is an irresolution in it. something that is trying to be worked out. like a pilgrimage. there is tension in the tranquility.
Tiny bits of paper make nature and life much clearer but much further away and too pixelated than what is good for those awake, it's best to wake up and then wait a while.
It boils down to an individual, as is basis. Einstein read Kant's critique of reason over a decade before I first read it and I was 20. Does that make me "off track" or "behind"? How could it when I know people twice my age who haven't heard of it? So how do you calculate and compare when the "time" is right certain things?
very nice. thanks for posting this beautiful video for a great 'lost classic' song...it even has the poster hanging over my bed as a tag...the imagery really matches the beauty of the song and its lyrics.
lots of odd sounds used on this that really work well..just wish more PF fans could see and hear this especially with Rick no longer with us.
This really takes me back a few years when me and my mates used to go for long walks in the country. For some reason our legs felt light as if we could fly and the sounds and colours were much better.
Such a wonderful song.... such a wonderful video!!!!! Pink Floyd's early years were their very best!!!! Thanks for posting it floyd, all the best to you from germany!!!!
The visuals are just right - England really does look like that. Every time I go to river banks by graveyards, I count my blessings that I am an Englishman.
i did think of putting a vid of this up myself but i'm not going to bother now this can't be bettered its a great video well done my friend -trichoone .
Esta es una canción que amo, solo para soñadores, viajeros por el tiempo, perdidos en el espacio, esposos de la naturaleza. Gracias Roger por componer este maravilloso tema y a Rick cuya secuencia final al órgano es simplemente magistral!!!
i love this tune always use to play it at the early hours when i had been up all nite use to sound even better with the real dawn chorus what a tune one of the best early floyd tunes thanks .

Wow, this video is so good. If the shots of the band members were omitted, it would be perfect. Images to convey the music are all that matters.
This is such a good song, and always thought a video like this would be great.

And I love how I can sometimes hear the birds chirping...it's almost like I'm embedded in the song...

NO ONE on this planet would have dared use this sound being that at the time, it was FLOYDS trademark sound, courtesy of Mr Rick Wright.
