superb motion and fluidity but might i ask what specifications your katanas are? such as carbon grade? and materials involved? and if possible the forge process used?
I use a lot of paul chen hanwei katanas. My best being a momo no saru katana, high carbon swedish steel tempered at 60-40. you can see the 9 folds in it beautifully. Whenever i can afford higher quality i upgrade
training katana? you mean a bokken, you could make one fairly easy, or buy one, unless your talking bout a dulled bladed katana. i don't suggest you ever even touch a metal sword until you have a good amount of experience under your belt and deffiniatly if your trying to learn to spin and ariels like roach, and im certian he would agree, you will get cut and sometimes bad from such things i've got almost 12 years on me now and i still make mistakes more then i like to admit everyone does.
@kokotenks I have to disagree with this statement. heres why... would you tell a xbmx rider he should use a tricycle with training wheels to do some of the jumps they do until they get enough experiance?? I make this comparison because anything anyone does has risks associated with it is a sword anymore dangerous than a bmx or a skate board? I'm sorry to say but that sounds like you take yourself a little too seriously and noone could possibally learn without yrs of practice. no offense intended
Where did this style come from? It looks like a Japanese katana, but the movements you did earlier don't look like anything Japanese. What is sine qua non.
dude very great!! i hope some day we can do a sword tricks together and learn both.. i am learning i hope in a years be better like you.. very nice art.. see ya
You always so badass mate :] There actually was no video you edited that had some bad music (it's good music background though i hate Eminem:P) choice or lame editing it's always a pleasure to watch your vids Tom. Pity the kenvert clan site wasn't made yet though. And send me a reply about the group vid :P
After everything youtube and the people out there have thrown at you, its an inspiration to still see you standing so strong.
I couldn't stop watching until the video ended, it was an exceptional piece my friend, and stirred something inside me to get training even damn harder than before.
Stay safe my Brother, I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you soon.
sick battojutsu or iaijuttsu techs just wonder did you customize you boken? it looks shorter, the handle is longer and it's alot more curve than a typical.
3:53 Waat, I shouldn't be surprized you pulled that catch off. Anyways congrats you kept me tuned in the whole 9 minutes by then I'm usually skipping around. I think your editing is superb. Epic epic final. Here with you till the end brother. Great video, to many great flows to time stamp them all! Going to soak them all in. =D
I wish I had time and place to write alot to comment your great efforts Tom, but sadly I lack time even for that. Your way of the sword is inspiring and motivating. I'm glad you never let anything get you off that track. Keep it up and may you become the greatest warrior.
YOU ARE GREAT MY BROTHER
