Because of the uninformed comments here, let me explain the real story. The bridge operator was in no condition to work that day, but was forced overtime (work or you're fired). He was sick and on medications that caused him to not be in a normal state. And the crew won't jump if it's not absolutely nescessesary. there is lots of places to meet (such as the bow (or "front") on a 700 foot ship. Inform yourselves before you make assumptions

It is NOT a fake: It's known as the Welland Canal 2001 accident (look it up); the ship is the Windoc (the SECOND ship by that name to have a bridge-related accident in that canal, btw)... And it was the bridge operator who screwed up and dropped the bridge too soon, the ship's crew didn't really do anything wrong.
