ernieballh... it has a german rotary engine. its not a 1.3 litre, it comes out much different roaty compared to standard pistons and cylinders. if has a capacity in the bore as 1.3 litres but the car will be pushing out the amount of torque and power which will be equivilent to a 2.6 litre. standard pushing 190 bhp
Actually, it has a Japanese Rotary engine, it's Mazda's version of the wankel of which they have licensed.
Mazda only counts the displacement of one of the combustion chambers (per rotor/housing) when in actuality two of the 3 (per rotor/housing) needs to be taken into consideration. It should be labled as a 2.6 but it's somewhat of a marketing scheme.
I know what a Wankel Rotary is lmao. But no stock RX8 is doing what we see above. It has some sort of forced induction. I don't remember why I said specifically the Pettit s/c but it's all good.
