Yeh, pretty nice, but can it do something else than the non-composited (and thus fake) cube effect? The big problem with your cube effect is that it just saves images of the workplaces and runs a GL app on top on top. Fake as hell. Real compositing would keep the video (dreamscene) running, look at Beryl or Compiz on Linux or FreeBSD for example.

+ a pentium 4 2.40Ghz overclocked to 3.14Ghz.
+ a nvidia geforce4 Mx 440 64mb(i don't mind if i can't run aero)
with that specs.
i can always run vista premium or basic.

this is BS compared to ubuntu compiz.. search it ;) compiz fusion works like a charm on my 256 ram, 2.7ghz and nvidia fx5200
