Very good video showing how to apply the vinyl covering..streatching it and cutting the corners. I'm surprised at the use of sizzors. I've used a razor blade and a box cutter with much better results.

do you have to glue it, or is it adhesive

You'll need to glue it using contact cement but make sure it's water based or neoprene based (as you don't want to damage the tolex. Vintage Vibe sell pots of it if required.
