  • I love this band. Damn they are good.

  • Did the Homies ever put this medely on an albun?

  • Yes, they did but I can find the exact album it was on at the moment, but the song is Joe's special no.5 and it was also on the album The Hometown Boys and friends- Puras Polkas that album # is DMM-1996 if you want to find it

  • live album

  • It's not really a live album, it sort of sounds like a live album, but it doesn't actaully say live any where on the cover art. If the cover has The Hometown boys,Los Dos Gilbertos, Tejano Knights, Annette y Axxion, and Los Pekadorez any where on the front along with an acooridion that has an image of the state of texas when its open you have found the right album. It should also have Joe's specials No.2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 next to the Hometown Boys

  • i can watch this video all day and not get tired of it! bad ass! Joe Martinez to me was and will always be the best accordion player in my book!

  • Its all bout them texas lol!

  • I had the great honor to meet Joe and Rick MARTINEZ at one of the TEJANO MUSIC AWARDS post parties. They took time to chat and pose for pictures with me and were as nice as can be. Joe was a great accordion player and Rick was a good singer. Now they are part of the All Star Tejano Conjunto in Heaven delighting all TEJANOS there; every night it is Standing Room Only! Thanks for your great music Home Town Boys, thanks for the memories! Aways your fan...BIG MAC!

  • I got to Party with Joe Martinez a few times..I seen The Hometown Boys in Earth Texas back in 1990. They were playing with Los Arcos Hermanos Pena....I also partied with him backstage in Fresno ca a few times...I also partied with him in San Benito Tx and we had a couple of drinks of Oso Negro....I still have his Phone # programed in my phone and i will never erase it...Puro Conjunto Carnal!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They are playing "Antotonilico", which was made famous by Antonio "Tony" de la Rosa, who died in 2004. May he, Ricky, Joe, Jesse, and Roman Jr. rest in peace. Roman Jr. died in October of 1997. Joe died on January 22, 1998. Jesse died on August 16, 2002. Ricky passed away recently on July 12, 2007. May they rest in peace. There will never be another Joe Martinez, may he rest in peace.

  • Joe martinez was one of the best polka players out Their, remember all his Joe 's Specials , he made it cool to play Polkas on the radio

  • How old is Roman Sr., (the bajo sexto player), at the time. If the video was taken in 1992, he would have been 57 years old. He looks a lot younger, as if he is in his 20's.

  • Dam I miss these guys.I remember once going to see them at a festival and Joe had two beers on stage and would drink in between breaks.
