I've got over the volume issue by practicing in a shed at the bottom of the garden. Winter time is best when no one is in their garden & I can bang away to my hearts content!!
1) Try putting some blankets or sheets on the walls in the room your playing.
1) Also you can get gel pads and tape them to the top edges of the batter head.
3) This might work but, you could take a sheet and ball it up and tape to the sides on the inside of each drum and that will cut down the sound drasticly(but it will also effect the drums note).
Thanks i might try the blankets on the wall thing. I don't normally play with those pads its just when i'm practicing something for quite a long time i put them on which ever drums i hit most to cut the noise down.
Yeah, I had a set of those pads, but I prefer to lose my hearing. . . . So I cut them into circles and put them on the drum as damping loops lol. My problems back with my parents was I had to play in a tiny room.
@christanmusiczordude in that case the uploader of this video should think about changing the video title :D

@christanmusiczordude so what did you expect when you clicked the video?

get a doble bass ;)

The Title is misguiding. You play tripplets on the whole kit not on the bass/floor tom.

@StixH I'm so good that I don't need to worry about the volume, everyone loves when I play. LOL, jokes jokes.

Sounds good! How do you do it? RkrKrkRkrKrk -yeah? (the capital letters being the accents)

yip i think that right i try and accent the eight notes so that would be how i do it. Sorry for the slow response
mikesstudents 2 years ago
@YoungInfrared it's very easy, only with bass drum and the eight with low tom!

I love it. I'm sorry about your neighbors, mine are the exact opposite, they make more noise than I do (which is a fairly impressive feat).

Hey, about volume control.
