  • Glad to hear she has a companion now, that vid just broke my heart :(

  • watch it muted its not funny then :/

  • What is 'funny' about this??

  • We live in the country and have never closed the door when we go to work or out and our Bullterrier has full run of the yard and lounge.

  • lol hey go to my channel and watch my funny jackrussell video!

  • leei "funny" kai to skulaki klaiei kai gabigizei se olo to video .. :s

  • I bet this just broke your hearts when you watched it for the first time, (as it did mine!) Am so glad to hear that Macy now has a canine companion...that's the answer to these problems, dogs are pack animals. Thankyou for posting, give Macy a big pat from me!

  • Lol my jrt would do so much worse. Our house would be burned down. Or... she's be up a book shelf. Your the lucky one with all she did is run around a howl. Raslcle our jrt is 4 going on 22.

  • Our JRT is 12 years old, he never leaves my wifes side, when she is home. how ever we had to start putting him in a kennel when we went out because he clawed his way through a door and carpet trying to find us.

  • poor little puppy, I'm glad you kept him and got Macy Mae a companion to keep him company when his people companions are away......

  • Oh...oops... ahah I just read that she has a companion Mila now. That's very good!

  • Yeah I agree with mvisgil... I have two jacks, and a boston. Many social animals are like people (in that they are social....duhhh) and need companions around. It's easier and less stressful to have two dogs rather than one. Jacks are especially pack oriented, (terriers) so if you have another 'pack member" at home, your dog won't be so sad, anxious and depressed. It's quite obvious that your dog IS depressed because of this, and extremely anxious. PLEASE do something about this :

  • Get another dog you morons. Your dog needs a companion so he isn't so depressed.

  • I take my JR practically everywhere I go. He is pretty much, my constant companion, so I haven't noticed any seperation anxiety yet, but I haven't had him that long. However, I do have a friend who raises Jacks, and one of hers gets EXTREMELY P.O.d when left alone. He'll growl and bark at her when she's leaving, and then run and pee in her shoes when she's gone.

  • absolutely not funny...

  • Hilarious! Was he trying to open the door at the end? My dog is laying in the exact same spot I left her when I come home.

  • As i see my JRT so loney so I bought the "wife" to him when he was 3 mths old.He is nine years old now....happy couple, how is your dog? Everything alright. JRT is so lovely...

  • OMG SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!

  • Love Jack Russell!

  • Mush mush mush!

  • That's not funny he is runnig around the house trying to fing his family crying breaks my heart I have a JRT and he is rarely home alone

  • OMG THIS IS SOOOOOOOO SAD!!!!!!!! HE PROB DID THE TRICK U JUST TAUGHT HIM CUZ HE THOUGHT IF HE DID IT THAT IT WOULD MAKE YOU COME BACK HOME OMGGG HE IS TOO ADORABLEE EI NEVER LEAVE MY DOG ALONE CUZ ITS TOO SAD LOL

  • its not funy its so sad he feel alone he miss his mam

  • 1:15 ...sad :(

  • 0:32 "hey everyone, party in my house!"

  • need to train your dog to be a little more independent

  • How is this funny? This dog is clearly in a lot of distress.

  • aw, she was so needy! my JRT goes into a sulk when i have a shower, cos she always assumes that i'm getting ready to go out without her, follows me from room to room but refuses to look me in the eye, passive-aggressive (if i try to pat her or cuddle, she resists gloomily). is all relieved and back to happy again once she finds out that i'm NOT going out after all. JRTs are such a beautiful dog.

  • my jrt tears up my apt.

  • You left your lights on

  • JRTs train well and the more you train them the happier they are. A bit of crazy is great tho. Gotta love the breed, theyre great.

  • I did NOT enjoy watching this poor dog suffer separation anxiety. Cruel.

  • @TheTenorjohn they have to leave the house SOME time..

  • Boring......YAWN

  • get him an accompany

  • I don't think it's funny if your dog suffers from being alone at home. When you decide to own a dog you should be able to educate it in a way the animal would feel comfortable in all every-day situations. (sorry for my english.)

  • you should get another dog, so you have two. I have a jack, and used to have the same problem, untilI got a second one. dog's are pack animals, so when theres another one there, they never feel alone.

it's also generally just less work...they keep eachother busy. serisouly, it's easier to have two than it is to have one

  • She really needs a companion or a bone to keep her occupied while you are gone. I have 2 JRTs (mother and son) and my female did that until she had her pups. Oh what am I saying...now I have 2 crazy dogs. But for me the bones do help! I love how dedicated this breed of dog is to its family!!!

  • I also have a jack who freaks when we leave, we are in the process of adopting him a sister much older who was a breeders dog ready to retire, hope it helps!!!!

  • wow!! I think i should try that some day with my J.R., Butters.

  • He is waiting for his parents to come home. Perhaps he needs a dog playmate. He does seem happy though.

  • Sad... this dog has separation anxiety...

  • Classic separation anxiety, your dog is stressed out!

    this isnt funny sorry...

@Hawksfan: why don't you listen to your own advice, because you are the one in the dark. i am a professional dog trainer, i know what i'm talking about.

  • Cheryl4967... Just shut up u don't no wat your talking bout.

  • Thast sooooooooooooooo funny

  • bless :]

  • Soo funny. We have a jack russell abby lou. I might try this.

  • that dog has separation anxiety big time, it is kinda sad, not funny ... if a person had anxiety like that they would be medicated ... dogs deserve to be balanced not stressed when you have to leave (and it is very easy to train too)

  • our JRT goes nuts when anyone leaves the house, he gets so upset he sometimes bites, but anyone can come in you just may not get out again, kind of like a backwards gaurd dog

  • i taught my jack a n "I'll be back" command, so he knows that I'm just leaving for a while and will return. Now he doesn't get upset when I leave. (Well, he often wants to come, but knows that I'm not leaving him if he can't.)

Like some other comments, I'm worried the dog in this video is stressed and anxious. The mad running and pacing, howling and jumping looks dangerous and sad to me. You and your dog will be happier if you do some training to reduce the separation anxiety.

  • Thank you all for your concern...this video was filmed about eight years ago when Macy was just a puppy. She is a happy, well-adjusted jack going on nine! She has a companion "sister" named Mia and they hang out all day together. All is well, but I appreciate everyone's concern. Enjoy!

  • @Doverweb08 I adopted my jack mix two years ago from a shelter. He had horrible separation anxiety. I have no idea what he does for sure when I'm not home but I'm guessing he crawls into his "safe spot" under my bed and sleeps. After talking to my friends with JRT I think the breed is just a little anxious when left alone. My JRT is around 9 years old, as well. Macy is so adorable! I'm glad she's doing so well! :)

  • @Doverweb08

My arrogant male JRT chose who he liked and shunned those he didnt. There was no "grey'" Take it or leave it was his attitude. He used to sing to the radio and watch TV with great interest, jumping at the screen when other dogs were pictured.

He lived a very fit and loved life and passed away at 18yrs. I loved him so much and I still miss him.

  • @ladypinelope come on now be real here...they are a couple probably headn out for a meal or something, there not gonna bring the dog in and book a seat for him ha?? training is no good for these dogs to be honest, they are a hunting dog and aremad as hell by nature and that will never be bred out of them as long as they dont crossbreed with a calmer type dog

  • @ladypinelope Why oh why does everyone see a problem with everything. Looks like a energetic Jack Russel blowing off steam.

Actually reminds me of the Tom Cruise dance scene in Risky Business when he parents leave him the house. Too freaking funny.

  • oh dear me lolololololol

and climbing the door.another video you must make of your delight when plaing the video..

    Tksssssss

    rosie

  • when we leave our jrt at home we put her in the cage and all she does is sleep

  • Jack Russells have serious separation anxiety issues. While this video is hysterical--that dog is very upset that he's home alone and has no idea if you're coming back. JRTs are one person dogs--they really do go ape shit if they're not with you all the time.

  • What a crying baby

  • Any dog which gets upset when left home alone is stressed. Separation anxiety occurs when the dog is the alpha and his 'pack members' leave. He doesn't know where you've gone or if you're coming back. Only the alpha is allowed to come and go as they please.

You need to consult a Dog Listener, trained by Jan Fennell.

  • XD My jrt howls like this sometimes, you can totally imagine them being like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! WHYYYY? D:"

  • hey guy's!

    I have a little question:

I'm geting a dalmatian and is it OK if I leave him about 4 hours alone?

because of my school,it starts at 09:00 and finishes at 14:00 naan it means I leave him 5 hours 30 minutes or something.

    Just please help!!!

  • Depends on whether you train it to wait or not.

  • if you get someone to let him out at least one while your at school and he is confined you should be fine

  • I feel bad leaving my jr home alone as well but we cant stay with them every moment of the day. He's so funny running back and forth lol cool video

  • my jack russell Zylee howls like that too. its heartbreaking!!!!

  • I feel bad that i leave my jacky russel indoors but we have to only me n my mum and we have to go collegen work =( my dawg must do that i fink he just sleeps tho next to the cats cuase thats all the cats doo alll day lol

  • She looks way to young to be left alone. That dog looks pretty miserable home alone...

  • too cute
