What do you think im a idiot. I know people are going to supply the huge demand of meat, because someone will always be after the money on that market.
My point is, the way people supply the huge demand for meat is unethical.
@terrillcase1 will then you must know that "FREE RANGE" is better for you, less stress on the hens and more Omega 3'S from "FREE RANGING HENS" Oh am sure you know that RIGHT:)
this is wrong stop this kinda egg production these chickens are cramed into cages where they cant even spread there wings and forced to fight for food and water every day and get pecked so much many of them dont have feathers on there bodys eat free range eggs stop letting companys get away with this
@etxreabel Wait, you think free range chickens do not fight with each other? The cages separate the chickens so they CAN'T fight each other because that would interfere with production. They are given measured amounts of food to ensure egg production as well. Also free range chickens will & do crush other chickens eggs so .... you should learn what you are talking about.
When I worked on an egg farm I did feel bad for the birds, especially because the ones that got out looked so much whiter and sleeker than the ones in the cage. I was able to keep my perspective every time I looked out over the town full of people who those chickens provided eggs for.
You worry too much. You'll get ulcers. Call it what you like, it's simply farming. Why not get to the root of the issue - too many people in this world - who all need to eat. Farmers are the engine that keeps us all going. Talk about population control and leave the farmers alone.
heloo, i want to visit a chicken farm, and i live in ST Louis Missouri. so would you please recommended me where i can find a chicken farm to visit ? the other thing i am looking for a textbook for college student with more picture about chicken farm. thanks for your time.
Shut up you twits! Get a life! Got any brainy ideas for feeding 5 billion people on this planet? And dont tell me free range, thats a large scale joke.
totally agree with ye free range is a freeking joke, most of them peta people have no clue about farming and start making these stupid ass comments that make no damm sence lol good to see some people that are still realistic
Couldn't agree with you more. We all want to eat - 6.7 billion of us. Not enough land in the world to "free range" everything. Luv how Peta groupies seem to be experts in farming - they should get into the business and see how long their business model lasts in the real world.
@schmarly2007 You simply use synergistic farming techniques. The feeble minded idea that one can grow only one crop on a piece of land is asinine. You can grow, pigs, cattle, meat chickens, and egg laying chickens on the SAME parcel of land using grass and an input of grains.
really informative and interesting

@AgriComm Don't you think those cages are to small? Dosen't look like they have enough space for one, let a lone three.

i can understand how this is wrong, but then again theres a world to feed out there, and all our local organic farms are not enought to feed us all

@vivamexico67 We don't feed the world, we feed ourselves, then through out enough to feed contries who's citizens are starving.

Wow... Nothing like the chicken farms here in Al. the eggs come out dirty and we gotta clean them. Old machines too.

@tmomof6 In the vidio, the chickens seemed to be in cages to small for their own good, three to a cage. Therefor, your argument is void.
