  • THATS EXTREME!

  • that was so extreme :D

  • Tom Selleck Rules in this... Extreme!

    PPPSHHH PPSSSHHHH

  • Ace McCloud, Jake Rockwell, Max Ray, Rex Charger, John Thunder...it never occurred to me back then.

They're totally legit porn star names.

  • @vermillionlynx Damn, they are. XD

  • To expand: Rex Charger, energy specialist (with Electro Charger and Gatling Guard) and John Thunder, infiltration specialist (with Thunder Knife and Silent Arrow). They were introduced very late in the series, in episode 56 ("Hole in the Ocean, part 1"), meaning they were only in ten episodes. No toys were made of them (though some were planned), and they only had two weapons systems each (all the others had at least three at the start, with more added later).

  • who the fuck are the last two ?? '

  • @AIpha0mega Rex Charger and John Thunder

  • HEY WHO R THE GUYS AFTER 2.10

  • My grandma bought me the figure plus 1:24 AND THAT IS WHY SHE WAS AMAZING. I didn't even ask for it and it was one of my favorite toys.

  • oh man! bring back such awesome memories! thanx a million uploader!!

  • thanks a ton!!for this vdo !!superandroid23..bring backs a lot of childhood memories of me n my lil bros :D:D..all the best n yeah!!!power xtreme ..:P to you...(lol) mate

  • hollywood u listening "i want a movie ..."

  • @juliannevillecorrea They'd probably make it gay and have Bieber-ish teens play the main guys....lmao

  • one of the reasons im studying very hard to get a mechanical engineering degree.... power extreme ..

  • For a description of all the Centurions' weapons systems, you can read it on Wikipedia.

  • Most badass transformation sequences in 80s cartoons

  • I think Dan Severn should play Max Ray. LOL!

Oh, I loved this show! I can't wait for it to come out on DVD or Netflix!

  • for years and i mean ever since i was 5 and im 22 sometimes i would say "power extreme" for no reason. i didnt remember what the show was called but i remember power extreme and the 3 guys and there colors and the attachments. now ill never forget the name :)

  • i watched this a lot when i was like 10 years old it was really cool. never thought there were more than 3 centurions though

  • Whoever thought of the names for these X-O Frames was Fucking Brilliant !

  • All the kids sees nowadays is crappy CGI cartoons! They should see REAL cartoons like this, M.A.S.K, Pole position,Jayce and the wheeled warriors!

  • Power extreme!! Lol man I loved this show growing up :D

  • Poooweeer Extreme-treme-treme-treme Pshh!! Pshh!!! Pshhh!!! Pshhh!!!!

  • Rex Charger (Energy specialist)

    John Thunder (Infiltration specialist)

    I don't remember those guys!

  • I'm not a religious person, but if you are up there and watch this please make a movie out of it...Jon Favreau

  • Oh man, thanks for this... it's been so long

  • I could not find the Epic button!! so I made one!!! >> 0:00 <<

  • brings back my good old memories

  • well done with the video, I would love to see this cartoon made into a film that would be so cool. I used to love this cartoon as a kid.lol

  • If they made a Centurion movie, and had a good director and producer, someone like Chris Nolan, James Cameron or even Micheal Bay, it would be a great hit, and boost it in one of the top places where it belongs...

  • Probably my favourite cartoon (along with Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors). Can't remember but were there toys to accompany the cartoon?

  • @djsoulstep No, the cartoon is accompanying a toy. It was a half hour commercial, like transformers. Still awesome.

  • I get goosebumps, brings back so many memories. The very first transformation, everything is awesome: the animation, the detail, the sound effects, THE MUSIC.

  • power extreme treme treme

man i used to say that all day when i was a kid

    miss these cartoons...

  • this one was displayed in the saudi televison in the 80th hhhh

  • I grew up in Indian during the 90s after the Soviet Collapse in 1991. I watched Cartoon network and the centurions all day; and other cartoons from the 60s as well. Hahaha. Now they have some stupid stuff in India, the same in the USA. They have some stupid high definition cartoons.

  • Afternoon cartoons in the 80's...Wow time flies so fast.

  • @Jovenbernardt69 Yes. Those cartoons back then are better than the crap we have nowadays. However, I want to try to make an animation studio where we can bring back cartoons that were like the ones from the 1980's.

  • Who are the two other guys? The bearded chap and the native american (?)

  • Did anyone notice how good backmuscles they have?

  • Here's an Ace Medly Video of his Assault Weapon Assembly, but probably forgot to add one or two aws, but have added the common ones taht are likely to be used.

    Watch it here: /watch?v=14EC74zY29c

  • Someday, Centurions. SOMEDAY!

  • Doc Terror dislikes this.

  • any how those guys put on weight transforming would've hurt

  • powerruh EXTREemmmmee.......

  • this is definitely the best part of the Centurions cartoon when the medley starts :)

  • It feels good if someone can turn his brain of for 2 minutes.

  • 1:00

How the hell does he see out from thst thing?

  • @VoiceActorDreamer

    Perhaps with a computer.

  • @VoiceActorDreamer

3rd eye man. That's how he rolls.

  • Anyone else find John Thunder's (the Native American Centurion) Silent Arrow assault weapon system a little.... stereotypical...?

  • Max Ray equals Tom Selleck.

  • i used to watch this show as a kid. brings back memories not many animated shows today are as good as the old ones. todays toons lack soul we should write a petition for this show to have a movie made for it. bring back the Centurions

  • This is so fucking cool. They should make a movie out of this.

  • @flensoest Same here, dude! Then maybe they can make some action figures of them.

  • @flensoest they'll probably ruin it like all movies they made from cartoons of that era

  • @ 2:00 onward - what were the names and purposes of those centurions. I don't remember more than the first three guys.

P.S. most creative use of upsell on any toy line from the 80s. You wanted to get add ons so you could do more stuff.

  • GO TELL DIRECTORS OR PRODUCERS. MAKE A MOVIE OF IT THE 90S KIDS WILL LUV TO WATCH IT.AT LEAST I WILL WATCH AT LEAST 4 TIMES-BESIDE TIDAYS CARTOONS SUCK BALSS.

  • they need to make a movie

  • Whoa, I love this cartoon as a kid but I don't remember the three guys at the end.

  • EPIC!

  • 1:32 Looks like Magnum P.I got himself an upgrade

  • 1:45 Didn't event attached to it yet there is sound. LOL!

  • @killerpawn The 2 yellow parts are attaching to the backpack cannons

  • It pissed me off when the assault weapon system didnt "attach" to the centurion with the full animation sequence lol.

  • I never got a toy with this. The action figure is too hard to find. All I got is transformers and GI joe. Good thing I got Zoids.

  • They should actually make a Centurions movie. Now THAT would be cooler than the Transformers and more interesting since it seems more real...

  • 1:10 lol he sees with his hair

    liked it thou

  • that was pretty rad!

  • the gear....it could remind me of one thing...

    THE BATTLIZER!!

  • Epic! I miss that show

  • this would make a good live action movie

  • John Thunder gets to have too Coolest Looking X-O Frames !

Damn, Loved Silent Arrow, Looking Fucking Epic !

  • 1:00 LOL! Just covered his face XD

    1:52 - PowEeEeEeR... :p

  • @omnibusim huge lol @ 1:52

  • The green guy always looked like Tom Selleck to me.

I wish they'd make movies from all the fave cartoons of my generation (i'm 30). Thundercats, Defenders of the Earth. Ah those were the days lol

  • USE EACH OTHERS SYSTEMS !

  • it would be nice if you could display the weapon system for each of it. I cant remember all.

I remembered Jake's motorcycle mode was like 'weasel' or something..

  • @miqhasmie I have the full list in the video description. Since the upgrade, it's not visible anymore (to my knowledge) unless you go to my channel & view it.

  • @superandroid23 just realize the weapon system list, thanks

  • @superandroid23 It's still there on the individual video page, you just have to click the expand button to show the whole description.

  • @miqhasmie wild weasel

  • @miqhasmie wild weasel

  • @miqhasmie Wild Weasel.

  • thats wild weasel his primary ground frame

  • @miqhasmie it is a wild weasel

  • i never liked Strato-Strike (Ace's weapon system with the fans).

  • This is basically "Iron Man times three". I could see this adapting into a film very soon.

  • I'm sure I remember one that was motorcycle-like, but it's been so many years since I watched it that my brain may have merged my favourite cartoon (this) with my favourite film of the same era (Tron)!!!

  • @TheAmazingMrDeath

I'm pretty sure the one at 0:56 was the motorcycle one..!

  • I wanted that air armour so bad when I was a kid.

  • @Freshhhhh1982

    Meh too :D

  • power extrem ! I wanna make a live action ! fund me

  • mogolico edita bien

  • ahh i loved this show haha

  • ah too bad they got so lazy with the animations for the later armors!

  • know who did the oversea animation? sunrise the folks who made gundam, inuyasha, cowboy bebop, escaflowne, and outlaw star. they knew what they were doing w/this show i commend them

  • @GladDestronger hey i'm not saying overall it's bad but compare the animation for strato strike and awesome augur with the others... it's lazy and cheapened

  • but sky night ain't... i do agree though some of them were short and simplified a bit (money reasons most likelyX(

  • Really amazing....awesome....

  • Memoriessssssssssssssss

    Thanks for uploadng.

  • Max Ray: Torrente Rompeolas Barracuda? ¿¿? Carga Profunda Rex Charger - Experto en Energía ??? Bazuka Laserr Joe Thunder - Apache Experto en Infiltración Cinto de Acero Flecha Silenciosa
  • Jake Rockwell:

    Lanza Rayos

    Motociclon

    Avispon

    Barrena

    Tanque

    Detonador

  • Ace MacCloud:

    Ráfaga Eter

    Interceptor Orbital

    ¿?

    Armadura

  • Wow , awesome defo my favourite cartoon of the eighties brings back so many memories. I used to love watching it I'd defo see a movie if they made one. The cartoons they make now are no where near as good and wish they would show them again.

  • Of all the old cartoons they've made into movies, I'm surprised nobody's gotten around to this one yet. I'd pay to see a live-action film of this.

  • Is it me or did Jake Rockwell have like 6 or 7 different weapons systems? Much more than rthe other centurions.

  • i think a few are missed out of this, im sure ace had one more than this

  • Yeah in one episode I rememember Ace needed more power and they sent a special weapon system called "Sky Vault", and yeah I know Sky Vault is the name of their base. That thing was the size of the International Space Station.

I swear to God the man had enough firepower to start destroy the air force of a half the earth. He should have used it more.

  • Yeah. Apparently, Jake did have more weapon systems than the other centurions.

  • @AGT619 Yep, because he was that damn cool. Seriously - Wild Weasel...awesome.

  • ace mcloud = starbuck?

    max rae = freddie mercury?

  • nice

  • haha forgot about this one, it ace, ta

  • Man thank you for the video and showing the various weapons systems.

  • Ace McCloud kicks ass

  • my buddies would always play centurions afte school at daycare since we can't play P.rangers (daycares rules) Dylan and BJ (brandon joel) woudl ask how do we do teh weapon systems? since i wa asthe brain fo the 3 i cut out/colored card board into teh waepon bits. They were taped on using clear tape and then we wneto town on the playground shooting doomdrones and saving the our pals from trouble. Those were the days i'll soon be 24 on the 11th and i feel old. God has it been that long ago?

  • you're only 23 man that's still young

  • i'm 24 now but still feel old some of my friends from school have kids now (some don't have the dads around jerks err shoudl i say jack*****:P

  • plz upload the new opening when the two extra centurions were added and also episodes featuring them.

  • Michael Bell is the voice of:

    John Thunder - Centurions

    Raziel - Soul Reaver

    among others...

    cool voiceover talented guy

  • Neil ross who does Ace does G1 Springer, and also the lead earthcore guy (forgot his name damnit!) from inhumanoids. He also di d some roles in Scooby doo and the alien invaders.

  • hehe cool

  • this is like Transformers + Power Rangers but they dont have a movie :(

  • this show shares similar elements to anoth ruby spear show Sky surfer strike force. Both have hi-tech weapon/tool systems at their disposal, suits, both have have machine badguys and both kick butt (i never had achance to SSSF but they say its good).

  • I really hope that someday, someone will take a look at this and make a movie out of it, but only if they do it right.

  • ahh the good ol'days when action cartoons began and didn't sucked am I right guys?

  • Hahahaha best episode ever!!!

  • Most were made as toys. The few that didn't were canceled shortly after the prototype stage in like '87.

  • "Someday Centurions...Someday..." POW Right in the kisser!

Cool video! Did they make toys of all of these?

  • Oh man, very nice! Thanks for posting this, it was always one of my favorites. Ruby-Spears was a really good animation company, this is top notch animation, especially considering the budget probably wasnt all to high, wish there were companies like that still around.

  • big thx to the uploader!!!!

  • Thanks a lot for this compilation. Brings back memories. Seeing these different weapon systems was the best part.

  • No problem. Someone actually PM'd me asking if I would make it. :p

I always thought the weapons were the coolest part too. I'm surprised that no one had ever done all of them b4 like this.

I actually had forgotten that Strato Strike existed until I made this.

  • there are so many 80s and 90s cartoons

so any could be a movie but i think that those cartoons had their time and this time is time for new cartoons.

also there maybe no budget for cartoons to be movies and the producers may think that the movie will just be a shame.. anyway there will be a GI JOE movie :)

  • In the 80's/90's, they treated children as adults to an extent w/ all the sexual undertones & violence. It was just a tv show that happened to not have real people in it. Now-a-days cartoons are over censored & reduced to (IMO) mindless humor to make the kids laugh. Characters were portrayed as having substance back then.

I'm looking forward to G.I. Joe, but as of right now, the whole "power suit" thing feels like an excuse for Matrix CGI to me.

  • I hope someone is thinking of a live action movie to bring back to life this series! when I was a kid I would skip dinner to watch the show =) Good work on the compilation.

  • Thanks! I really hope there will be one too. They're bringing everything else back from that era. Why not Centurions?

  • Just hope the movie ain't as crappy as Dragonball Evolution.

    or X-men trilogy.

Centurions mayneed some director like the Matrix or something like that. ha...More action, less talk or typical hollywood's smooches...

  • I agree that DBE & X-men were not done right at all. Mostly it was casting & story problems.

The only casting choices that seems right for Centurions to me would be Burt Renolds as Max & Chuck Norris as Rex. But for that, it would have HAD to be an 80's movie. They're too old now. :( Lenard Nemoy now-a-days would make an excellent Doc Terror though.

  • Haha i agree. They can still make it if it was the 90's though.

Well, we do have the likes of Brad Pit, George Clooney, Russel Crowe, Matt Damon & Leonardo Dcaprio if they are into the show...

Still, even if the actors good,

    bad storyline = disaster.

So the plot & directing need to be good.

  • I could definitely see Clooney as Ace now that you toss his name out there. I also think Michael Chiklis would play a good Hacker.

I think there's a way to do it w/ both era's actors. The story could be a the old ones having to teach a new set of heroes the ropes. That would be interesting to see. It would open up some new possibilities & avoid ruining the dogma for us original fans. Plus, new weapon systems! :D

  • Not a bad idea. The seniors teaching the new guys. Reminds me of the new Ghostbusters. or Batman beyond!

After 25 years of peace...the Centurions are needed once again due to...XD

Perhaps a sacrifice is needed. You know, to save the world, onekillself. Others grieve & the Centurions program got shutdown stuff...hehe

  • Ya, XGB & Batman Beyond were 2 of my favorite redone series b/c they were made to respect the original ideas, but present it to a new generation.

Now all we need is a script & a butt-load of money lol.

  • Hahaha...Script is one thing from fans. Money is what making fans opinions somewhat replaceable in the movie business.

Hey, we might as well tell Spielberg about the ideas, but just to make a movie to have 'the director's touch', he'll probably just change 80% of what us fans had hoped for. ;p

  • He's not Michael Bay. Oh wait, Bay is 93%. Besides, I like Jurassic Park...

  • dragon ball evolution is crappy bcoz that is from japan but US made a movie so they could change any they wanted in the dragon ball

  • DBZ is one of those things that should just remain a cartoon/comic. No matter how it's approached for live action, it still feels like your being hustled.

  • damn, thats alotta power

  • wow wow wow, love the video!

It enlighten me what i missed. I've never seen 1 of Ace, 2 of Jake and 1 of Max. then I've never seen the 2 other guys either.

  • I had swingshot. It was an alright weapon system. I still will always want a Depth Charger

  • Rockwell had all the best toys.

  • Agreed...his job was the simplest yet the greatest...blow EVERYTHING up...ah the good ole days before television became all "censored"...

  • damn! isn't that orgasmic?

  • Now this should be a movie or a video game! Who's with me?

  • Both

  • I don't remember Awesome Auger or

    Swingshot.

  • The composer for the Music is Udi Harpaz who still does scores for film/tv. He also did the Airwolf score so there's some similarity to theme musics between this show and Airwolf. What's interesting is for a syndicated tv series in the mid 80's theres a heavy amount of hand drawn fx animation in each episode which isn't cheap to produce. Animation was by Sunrise in Japan who also produced Gundam, Dirty Pair, Cowboy Beebop, etc. Just some Trivia :)

  • 0:34, My favourite transformation, half man half jetfighter

  • More like, half human, half jetfighter, all manliness.

  • I agree with this

  • Thanks for making this. There were some suits I did not even remember seeing.

  • yeah agian agreed I love this. This is excatly what I was looking for thanks!

  • the music during 1:34 rocks

  • I loved this show. I was so sad when they took it off the air. I never did get to see those two new guys.

  • That was my favorite cartoon back then.Ireally enjoyed it:D

  • this is pretty cool..made to sell lots-a toys..but still very cool.

  • it would have been cooler if dark terror had a few more add-ons too.

  • Hehe. They added the two new kids just to be politically correct, I bet. :P

  • I do wonder though, toys aside ,wouldn't an infiltration expert work better without a giant crossbow on his back?

  • Holy crap did Rockwell get alot of equipment.

Also, the energy weapon specialist and the native american didn't get the face time they deserved. I always thought they were much cooler.

Dude was a stone killer with that vibro knife.

  • yup, that was and is a great cartoon!! :)

you got all of them...except you missed one, where Ace has a mix of two Assault weapon systems...was only in a few episodes..Skybolt and something..but i forgot he used the Strato Strike..so long ago..what ep was that from ??

  • Strato Strike was only used in the 5 part Man or Machine episode.

In response to the missing Skybolt/Orbital Interceptor AWS, which is my favorite weapon for Ace; I chose to leave it out b/c it's not an independent system. If I included it, I'd have to add all the other combos too.

Technically, all the parts are interchangeable & can combine any number of ways. I'll eventually be posting a video of all the combos & weapon swaps too, so keep an eye out in the future.

  • @superandroid23: hey hi...i thought i'd ask you after a year wheter you'll be posting those combos :D ?

  • HI, I've been sidetracked for a while but am uploading the Skybolt/Orbital Interceptor combo video today.

The others I've found are really just part replacements rather than true combos so they're negligible.
