just then a woman cyclist went through the gate and crossed over to the other side .

the train missed her by a few seconds .

i got out and so did someone else and we shouted at her to let her know how stupid she had just been .

There's usually a strong wind that sucks you toward the train. I know, because I nearly got sucked in and killed by one of these trains one time when I was walking down the tracks. A few feet is still too close: you've gotta stay far away from them.
