@hollystorm5 Exactly, that's so obvious. But I don't think Moriarty knows, it would make this series way too dark that way, and it isn't that type of dark. The way they make it look like a game, makes me think it is just that. Like the creepy guy from the first ep turns out to be his brother, lol. It's not "real life" but something very British. Moriarty's just another facet of Sherlock, his "firewall" against love. And YES, "exploding" is a perfect term! My senses did that too.

Sherlock was incomplete, then Johncame and gave him weakness. The weakness he needed. John was his heart, therefore finally finishing Sherlock. <3

@inubaka13 you have a point. Loving John made Sherlock allowing himself to stay human; to not 'delete' his human side as being nothing more than emotions, disturbing the reason. He allows entrance to the emotions of friendship and care. But the same thing thing that keeps his heart and soul warm, forms his greatest weakness when it threats to be taken away from him.

@yamifannetje No no, don't take it so literally. I mean yes, that is the primary level of interpretation, but "Sherlock is finished" is meant to be symbolical here, and a good thing. Like we say "He's gone" when someone falls in love. It's not a weakness, but a strength. He is facing Moriarty = himself. And then... "People do little else!" haha.

Whether you see them as a pairing or just good friends, you have to admit that John has had a huge impact on Sherlock's life. I mean, can you imagine going through life being called things like "freak" and "psychopath on a daily basis just for doing what you do best? That's got to hurt. Then John comes along and Sherlock finally has someone other than his brother who's willing to try to understand him. That's a big deal.
