  • Oh wow. I amazed at how one video post can generate 94 comments. I can't elicit more than two comments on my blog no matter how hot the topic is. LOL.

  • mmmmmmmm. cho - co- la - te!

  • Mmmmmm. Nike!

  • Technology is great and being to use it. But I did not mean that type of ignorance. Im not biasing on Spain but I know they have their technical\technology too and their scientific and pretty ingenious Spanish computer developed by thwir scientists and other stuff you may not be aware of but yeH JapN tech is nice.

  • You can learn whatever you want. No one is forcing you to do anything.

  • @TheLuminAir -- Your right, Spain already forced us for more than 300 years of speaking their stupid language so, they should NOT for it again! or else i will force them to speak Kapampangan and ilocano! PUTA ESPANYA!!! VIVA PILIPINAS!!!

  • @beatbstrdz --- spain is not a part of us, as for me I NOT a part of A former Colonizer Conquistador! i don't even have latin blood so why would i consider myself Latino? when in fact the Latinos in south america are incas. aztecs with colonial names like us? to continue to recognize spain as a part of us mean to continue to be colonized by spain. the more we don't see this reality the more we will remain in the throws of foreigners grip and we will remain poor! look at japan, korea?

  • @marumito Dude Philippines is no longer a part of Philippines for over hundred years...Nobody saying you have spanish blood...lol..Ok so since you're an english speaker then that makes you a part of Anglo Brittain...Is that how you see it? Its just funny to me that you are denying the fact that hispanic culture never occured in the Philippine islands when it did for over 300 years.

  • @beatbstrdz --- anglo brittian? i guess you can say that about yourself too bcoz your answering me in english lol... hispanic culture never occured in our country, only hispanic colonization, occupation and corruption... OKAY TO SUM IT ALL UP, I HATE SPAIN... are you satisfied now?

  • @marumito Learning another language doesn't change my identity, for me learning another language is simply learning and acquiring knowledge. For someone to say hispanic culture never occured in Philippines is in denial...Hate is a mental illness.

  • @beatbstrdz --- For someone who accepts that hispanic culture influenced the whole of the philippines is I'll informed and won't accept true independence from a foreign power is worst than mental illness. and to continue learning spanish is simply denying the philippines and it's native tribes and peoples other languages. not learning these native tongues will simply trap us with only one and that's spanish or english. HATE IS NOT A MENTAL ILLNESS, IT'S A HUMAN FEELING. I HATE SPAIN!

  • At schools, the students should have an option of learning either Spanish or English. Having Spanish as an official language only means that government institutions will offer services in English, Tagalog and Spanish, it doesn't mean you will be forced to speak or learn it. In Macau, a Chinese region, very few speak Portuguese even though its an official language. It just means the government services are available in Portuguese and Mandarin. Street signs are written in Mandarin and Portuguese.

  • @starlightshimmers -- isn't 400 years of colonization enough? at what lengths, leaps and bounds should I go through just to make you understand that I HATE SPAIN?! yes you are right "i have no right to force my kapampangan or cebuano or hiligaynon or ilocano language to espanya" SO SPAIN SHOULD NOT FORCE IT'S STUPID LANGUAGE ON ME! we already have too many (over 20,00spanish words) in our tagalog! we don't need another 20,000. let alone Portuguese!

  • @starlightshimmers --- you keep talking about how important es-panis is to Filipinos, yet nobody talks about our historical relations, culture and dealings with the ancient INDIANS, ARABS, and MALAYS that lived and thrived with us before ESPANYA CAME and INVADED! you cannot mix an apples and oranges! we can sing the National Anthem in every dialect of language in our country if only we wanted to! it's not impossible! I DON'T NEED TO LEARN ESPANISH. IT'S NOT IMPORTANT!

  • P.S. Spanish was an official language of the Philippines for a total of 400 years. It was removed in 1987 for no reason even though the Royal Philippine Spanish Academy still exists, its members are all influential Filipinos. That is why there is a Spanish language revival in the Philippines. The language of the Philippine Revolution was Spanish. The Filipino revolutionaries that kicked the Spaniards out screamed and yelled !Viva la Republica Filipinas! and wrote Spanish nationalistic articles.

  • @starlightshimmers -- Just because were called Filipinos doesn't mean we have to ba a part of es-panis! whatever happened to Free & Independent sovereign nations who have their own language to be proud of?! yet you still think spanish is a romantic language that should b a part of our native tongue? there's nothing romantic about an Invading country erasing another country's culture and way of life! FUCK SPAIN! they should pay us reparations for all the corruption they gave us

  • @marumito

You talk about corruption! haha! Blame the Americans! Or ourselves. Get it!?

  • @TheLuminAir --- ok then maybe I should blame you too?! get it? we all have the right to our own opinion and beliefs! you just say I don't know what it means to be Filipino but do really know deep inside what it means to you? just read the rest of my postings of my replies to beatbstrdz... you can say I all you want but I STILL WILL NOT LEARN TO SPEAK SPANISH...It's not fun and educational to learn any language if you just pretend in the end. examine yourself first bro!

  • @marumito Your English is poor. Crap!

    Viva España!!! Puta America!!!

  • @nelsonvandyk --- Puta Espanya!!!! VIVA LA VIDA LOCA PILIPINAS! VIVA MANNY PACQUIAO SUPER P4P GRANDE BOXEADOR!!! ...

  • @nelsonvandyk --- your missing a main part of your body, A BRAIN! SUCK MY COCK IDIOT!

  • WHY SHOULD I LEARN TO SPEAK STUPIDO ESPANOL WHEN i CAN LEARN TO SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF MY OTHER PEOPLES 7 TRIBES IN MY OWN COUNTRY?? FUCK ESTUPIDO ESPANYA!! YUCKKKKK!!

  • @marumito Are any of your seven local languages useful for you abroad? The point here is that learning a foreign language, Spanish or whatever, is useful as the world becomes more and more a global village. Spanish is the second largest language in the US now. Jose Rizal knew 22 languages, but that didn't make him any less a patriot. It showed how brilliant he was. Even Andres Bonifacio knew Spanish. Spanish can also help us understand many historical documents that are still unexamined.

  • @normandyinvasion -- why do everybody keep talkin' about being abroad when we should be talkin bout being local speaking the local language or dialect in my country??? Globalised? how can globalisation help me understand more of my culture when all that is happening or have happened through globalisation was nothing more than a scam and schemes of the Elites to enslave the poor people? this isn't about our Hero Rizal, they still killed him! those documents means nothing now...

  • @normandyinvasion -- it's one thing to know about our country's history... but it's another thing to invite a former colonizer back just to learn it's language. I have more pressing matters 2 know about history & language in Philippines...and Spanish is NOT one of them...sORRy...

  • @normandyinvasion --- Good thing for andres bonifacio who knew better that's why he started the revolution to kick espanya out of the Philippines... this whole deal is just another ploy 2 keep our nation colonized & enslaved thru so called globalisation...Spanish & American Occupation didn't work, what makes you think learning spanish will work?

  • @marumito Why are you so filled with hostility as if somebody is forcing you to learn Spanish? I don't care if you don't want to. This video is only about an event that I attended. That simple. No need for you to reply rudely or with anger as if you're still fighting the Philippine Revolution. You talk about continuing colonization. In that case, be consistent and speak in Filipino or whatever dialect rather than in English. And I've lived abroad, so I know how useful Spanish was to me. Chill.

  • @normandyinvasion ---- I don't Care if espanyol is useful for you! it's only one language which happens 2 be notoriously popularized by fuckin' conquistador espanya. just because it's famous doesn't mean shit! FUCK SPAIN!

  • @marumito You must be ashamed then that over 80% of Filipino history is recorded in Spanish. And that the national anthem of the Philippines is originally Spanish, they just made a Tagalog version decades later. That the first Philippine Constitution was written in Spanish. And that the Americans wrote the Philippine Declaration of Independence from the USA in Spanish, they later made an English version. If you hate all things Spanish or Hispanic then you hate about 50% of Filipino culture.

  • @starlightshimmers -- I am ashamed yes! aren't you ashamed of 400 years of colonization by spain? duh.. isn't it obvious why 80% of Filipino history is written in espanis bcoz we were colonized.. exactly? isn't it enough that you promote the diverse language of the Philippine islands besides es-panis? we were already force to learn another colonial language which is english yet you are still proud to be a part of a former empire who treated us like lambs to the slaughter?!!

  • @starlightshimmers --- I am proud to be a Filipino/Pilipino! but I'm not proud to be so called a part of Spain! because Spain was never a part of our diverse culture to begin with! THERE IS NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF A CONQUISTADOR WHO ONLY BROUGHT WAR, DISEASES AND PLAGUES TO A PEOPLE NOW SUFFERING FROM AN INHERENT FORM OF CORRUPTION BROUGHT ON BY ESPANYA!

  • @marumito: Umm Philippines is no longer a part of Spain for a very very long time now, but they've played a major part in giving birth to the Filipino culture. Filipinos remains hispanic as long as our names, food, folk dance, street name, city names, fiestas, religion, and language exist. It is what it is, and if you're proud to be Filipino then you should embrace it, instead of spewing animosity.

    beatbstrdz 1 second ago

  • @beatbstrdz --- what a blind filipino you are! don't you realize that our fiestas and folk dances were already here in our islands and practiced for ages even b4 the Spanish came? where do you think Lechon came from? - from us! where do you think their spices and precious gems and stones that they stole came from? - from us pilipinos! the only things they gave us are their deceases, hypocritical religion, idols and half-breeds who think they own the whole of the philippines!

  • @beatbstrdz -- I'M PROUD TO BE A PILIPINO! NOT LATINO! go study more about latin americas! the countries there lost most of their native languages... but NOT us Pilipinos! we kept most of our inherent tribal languages and cultures... if this does not make us Unique then, your in denial of the fact that we a Asianos NOT Latinos!

  • @marumito How can you be proud to be Filipino, when you dont even know what it means to be Filipino.

  • @beatbstrdz --- how can you be proud to be a Filipino when you totally are in denial of the fact that Spain never gave us those cultures we have now. all those things that u mentioned about our songs, food, traditions and culture before spain came 2 our shores were not given to us by spain but it already existed. you haven't understand everything about wut i said b4? read our history more. all you see is spanish influences and words, yet you still fail 2 recognize our diversity. FAIL

  • @marumito Again, where did I say that Spain gave Filipino culture? All I'm saying is Spain has many influence in Filipino culture such as food, dance, festivals etc...Please read my comments carefully before you rant your nonsense.

One thing you need to understand also is, there was no such thing as Filipino or Pilipino prior to the arrival of the Spaniards. So if you truly hate Spain, then you should'nt even call yourself a Filipino. Im not glorifying Spain I'm just stating facts.

  • @beatbstrdz --- i'm a kapampangan what about you? you should call yourself Filipino too if your living in the Philippines just bcoz you like to speak spanish and consider yourself latino.?! what are you then?

  • @marumito Im Filipino American, I speak and write tagalog fluently. Im also studying the baybayin script. I embrace the diversity of Filipino culture, I think thats the only way to move forward.

  • @beatbstrdz -- so how is your study of baybayin script going to help you find a job? you told me that I'm in denial when you yourself study filipino culture! i'm talkin about learning to speak the different dialects and languages of our own country but you keep putting on the "if you don't learn spanish you won't get a job"? what kind of nonsense is that? so, you simple accept the fact that if tibet loses its language and traditions because of china then it's ok?

  • @marumito I study baybayin for the knowledge not for job. No youre in denial because you cant accept the fact that Filipino culture has many hispanic element. Where did i sa "if you don't learn spanish you won't get a job"?...All i said learning another language is fun and can help you find a job lol...learning another language has many advantage...thats all i was saying in that part of conversation.

  • @beatbstrdz --- so, you really didn't answer my question of "if china or any other country for that matter invaded us now and forced us to learn their culture tradtions and religion to delete our own" would you or would you not accept it? you just re-stated the facts and things that i stated before about our history and diversity. yet U always fail to answer me about this matter?! unless you never learn from history that's why you are willing to repear it! but, Be my Guess if u like!

  • @beatbstrdz --- all i'm saying is I don't think learning Spanish now will help our country in any way forward. we already have tagalog as our National language which have over 20,000 latin words in it. We don't need another 20,000 more words to make us more confused of our own identity... why is it that post worldwar2 we went from the 2nd modeern country to the last and worse? it's because of our spanish influence which was corruption.

  • @beatbstrdz --- okay so if China came and Attacked us and colonized us, forced us to speak only mandarin or cantonese, and forbade to speak our different languages and dialects form aparri to jolo how would you call that? Influence or Invasion? and let's say after 300 years we finally kicked them out and they are convincing us that learning chinese languages is good for Filipinos would you still accept that as a friendly gesture? are you really a filipino or a Flip-FlopiNO?

  • @marumito If the Chinese attacked us and colonized us for over 300 years we would probably be speaking chinese today. Who knows many of our native language might not have even survive if that was the case. If the chinese colonize the Philippines we sould be similar to Taiwan. Philippines has not lost one single language from foreign invasion. Almost all nation in the world had been invaded through war or through human settlement.

  • @marumito Keep in mind that the first settler in the Philippine Islands were the agtas, atis. negritos etc...When the malays and the sea faring austronesian arrived, the negritos land was also taken away or they were pushed back to settle up in the mountains...this is still happening today. Many Filipinos today are convinced that learning Chinese or any language is good because it helps you find a job.

  • But learning another language is simply fun, and it helps you connect with people. For me learning Spanish would be easy because tagalog already have thousands of spanish loan words, and would be very helpful if I one day visit Mexico, Peru, and other Spanish speaking country.

  • @beatbstrdz --- okay if you think of it that way then fine, go learn it but as for me NEVER! i can learn cebuano or ilocano or marano here first before i go learn spanish... trust me, learning spanish will never help my beloved country improve in any way possible...that's my belief because it never has before and it never will. it will only bring more confusion to our nation. WE DON'T NEED TO BE LATINISED AGAIN AND AGAIN..

  • @beatbstrdz plus if you speak both english and spanish, you have better work opportunities and a higher pay. for me as a call center spanish-english bilingual rep im enjoying my language premium pay. next goal: french. it really is fun learning another language plus it opens to new doors of opportunities.

  • @beatbstrdz --- not the Filipinos that I know of that works in Taiwan or hongkong thinks that learning chinese is worth it for them. maybe the Filipinos you only know find it convincing to learn it but the majority of Filipinos here in our country don't like that Idea. they don't want any part of China nor it's extentions. the chinese are an abusive, hypocritical people who thinks the middle kingdom is the center of all things. sorry but I also hate the Communist chinks!

  • @marumito I dont really care if you hate the Chinese, or Spain. You can hate all you want, but One thing remains true in our conversation is Filipino culture has many hispanic trait. But they were molded and made it our own which is known as part of Filipino culture.

  • @beatbstrdz --- Pilipino culture has been widely inundated with a corrupt Hispanic trait therefore we as a country should do away with this to erase it from our mental psyche otherwise we will continue our crab mentality that if we don't act like foreigners and embrace every foreign influence we are NOT IN with the status quo! it's time for Pilipinos to rise up and develop our country ourselves and not with learning spanish! AL ANDALUS that is spains former name! FUCKSPAINFUCKCHINA!

  • @beatbstrdz --- keep also in mind that were talking about SPAIN here and not the Early settlers in the philippines...i know our history you don't need to remind me, we're talkin' about learning to speak Spanish okay.?!

  • @marumito I know that were talking about Spain. Youre the one who's bringing up China. I was just making another point that invasion of one land to gain settlement was common the during pre-hispanic Philippines. Why do you think we are so ethnically and culturally diverse?

  • @beatbstrdz -- we are ethnically diverse because of our own doings in our own region, we didn't go half-way around the world crusading and invading other foreign countries and occupying them for 300 years or so! get it? jeez...

  • @beatbstrdz -- you just repeated my statement from china invading our country! lol...I already gave that idea...

  • @beatbstrdz Fortunatley I get it, but unfortunately this Marumito guy really shows how ignorant he is.

  • @beatbstrdz --- our tribal dances and songs never came from spain! pandango sa ilaw, tinikling, barong at saya never came from spain! these are just a few examples of our original culture. the ati atihan, ifugao dances, the maranao, hiligaynons, yakans, warayanons dances these weren't from spain... yet they just hispansed it because we were colonized by them. just because majority of the words in our tagalog have spanish on it Does NOT make us Spanish or a Latin part of Spain!

  • @beatbstrdz -- instead of Learning how to speak Spanish, we should learn the different languages and dialects in our own country's different regions so we as a Nation can better understand each others culture, Needs, and differences! that's how we can be more proud 2 be Filipinos! and not limit ourselves with just learning 2 major languages like es-panis or ingles! ANG TAONG DI MARUNONG MAGSALITA NG SARILING WIKA AY MABAHO PA SA MALANSANG ISDA! HUWAG MAGING DAYUHAN SA SARILING BAYAN!

  • @marumito Yeah you are quoting Jose Rizal a spanish speaker, a Filipino man who adored Spain. Lol. Learning Spanish does not mean you are not proud to be Filipino. Learning Spanish as Filipino is actually patriotic since it was the language of the 1st Philippine Republic. Do Your Self a Favor And Read Philippine History For Christ Sake!!!

  • @beatbstrdz --- Rizal could've easily written the noli mi tangere and el filibusterismo in german, french, english or other philippine language and dialects yet why did he write it in Spanish? isn't it obvious? because we're colonized by spain. all i'm saying is you don't need spanish language to be a patriotic filipino! to do away with a former colonial master means to not go back and invite magellan back into our shores we have more pressing problems than learning spanish language.

  • @marumito Dude magellan is dead! lol

  • @beatbstrdz Yeah i agree...and take note that Spanish is the language of the First Philippine Constitution, and the original lyrics of our national anthem is in Spanish...

  • @beatbstrdz --- The Sinulog Festival, The Dinagyang Festival, The Maskara Festival of bacolod... tell me, just because these dances have the idols of the patron saints of the catholic church means they are of Spanish origin already? NONE OF THESE CAME FROM SPAIN... but spain only hispanised it because we honor their patron saints? so now it's spains property? come on read more! these cultural festivities already existed in Philippines even before spain came! FUCK SPAIN!

  • @marumito Where did I say that the Sinulog, Dinagyang...originated from Spain? Calm down dude lol. All I'm saying is Filipino culture has many hispanic element. Moriones festival in Marinduque for example was started by a Spanish friar...and many of our Filipino folk dance like Jota Manileña, Jota Paragua, Paseo de Iloilo, Malaguena and many more are evidently hispanic with a native flare. Geez. You think you know everything. YOURE NOT AS SMART AS YOU THINK YOU ARE.

  • @beatbstrdz --- OH so you say that there was no such thing sa filipino before the spanish came? so just like there was no Americans in USA when the italians came then? and since when did i said i was being smart? i just told you the facts about our ancient culture before es-panis! you keep saying Spanish Influence but you don't accept that this influence is flawed. what about 300 some years of Colonization and occupation you think that is Good? only a latin lover would say that.

  • @marumito No there was no such thing as Filipino before the Spanish. Before the Spanish we were the Tagalog, the Sugbuanos, Tboli, Kalinga, Agta, etc.We were not united. Also there was no Americans before the Europeans, there were only the Navajos, Haidas, Cherokees, etc. How is Spanish influence is Philippines flaw? when we practice it today, obviously it is accepted, because we made it our own...!!! Geez, do you think Pasko will halt this year because it was brought by Spaniards?

  • do you think pasko was invented by the spanish? xmas was not even latin it was from europe taken from a pagan religion of the agnostics. yes pasko will halt if i was the president i would stop the kid from killing themselves or accidentally blowing of their limbs in the process. LOL...

  • @marumito Who cares where xmas originated..My point was xmas was brought in the Philippines by Spaniards. And xmas is a very big part of Filipino culture today. Yea real funny.

  • @beatbstrdz --- it's more Funny if "those who don't learn from History are always Bound to repeat it!" and you my friend think that learning spanish is good and part of Philippines is really a continued acceptance of a Former Colonizer that you cannot let go of! i repeat again for the last time that "I'm proud 2 be a Pilipino" and not Latino! that is Pinoy with a capital P. unless you like being called "Finoy"! sounds gay doesn't it? LOL..ok end of discussion! MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!

  • @beatbstrdz -- all these songs and dances u mentioned are just forcefully hispanised. the Dinagyang and sinulog festivals were already practiced by our ancient ancestors before it was just latinised by es-panis by forcing their Idols and so called catholic saints into the culture! how can these be hispanic if they were already being practiced by native even b4 spain came? learning a language of a colonizer is not patriotic but idiotic! Rizal knew other languages other than spanish!

  • @marumito Again you are contradicting yourself when you say learning a language of a colonizer is idiotic, when you - yourself is communicating in english (the language of our former colonial masters - the americans! Nobody is forcing you to learn spanish or other language..that is your choice.

  • @beatbstrdz --- well, atlest the Americans with all their malice and colonialism brought reconstruction and improvement to Philippines like technology and innovation. unlike spain who only built catholic Churches, corrupt hierarchy, systemic family land grabbing and heartless latin half breeds. I'm proud to be Pilipino and NOT latino! the only way forward is to develop our own country and not go work for someone else's benefit so we don't remain Poor and treated like 3rd world beggar

  • @beatbstrdz --- our country have more to offer our own people than spain can offer. we are both fluent in english and other asian languages that our asian neighbors speak. why can't we learn to speak the native tounges of the people and regions of our country instead of learning spanish? why can't you better understand the needs and wants and differences of our own people? if you really are that convince about spain then i think its better for you to just live there with those putos!

  • @marumito IGNORANTE

  • @TheLuminAir --- MUY IGNORANTE!

  • @beatbstrdz

You're comments in response to marumito's comments shows how ignorant and inclusive this guy marumito is. You're absolutley right! He dosen't even know what it means to be FILIPINO! I love to learn the Spanish language. It's commanding, passionate and beautiful. I love to learn the native languages too whether in the Mt. provinces, the Visayas or Manila or wherever. English, well, I alrealdy speak english. haha. It's fun and educational to learn any language!

  • ^

    ^@marumito

UhMMM you talk about corruption. MAybe it's the United Sates that you should actually blame for that. For real! Yeah they brought technology and education like the Spanish, but in realty the American could have done more. I'm not hatin on the U.S contribution in fact I appreciate some as well as the original and first colonizer Spain! I also appreciate the the mixture of the native indegenous peoples along with it! Mabuhay native Filipnas, Spain and yes, U.S. too.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheLuminAir --- in fact, the Americans have done more (regardless of the genocide and forced english language) than the Spanish could have ever mustered during those wasted 300 years of occupation. I'm not in defense of the US, but check all the internet technology you are using now to say i'm ignorant? - it came from US, "apple" computers, automobile, science and tech we have now? - US. wut does spain have "mansanas computers"? lol... i'd rather learn japanese tech than spanish.

  • @normandyinvasion

By reading this guy marumito's comments he made it just goes to show how really ignorant some fellow filipinos are. just because they were the former colonizer does not mean that it is bringing back the pains of the past. It's just educational and in some ways cultural more or less. Notice I say more or less. And to let you know it's not corruption to be blamed for Spain it's the people themselves (ourselves, fFilipinos) you cannot just blame Spain.

  • espanyol?yuck...

  • @halashet its español, stupid fuck

  • @ge2298 i know, its spelled that way here in the philippines,..

  • Viva Filipinas Espana!!!!

  • Wanna learn Spanish! I know its not too late...

  • YEAH!I WANT SPANISH!LETS REBEL!
