@thunderlock110 Well, for one thing your GT is probably a 3.5L V6. So yeah, it would sound a little better compared to a 2.4L 4 cylinder engine.

Is their any exterior features to determine whether the car is a V6 or a I4? A month ago i was getting on an exit from the hwy and this g6 behind me floored it and i saw that he floored it from the body movement! So i floored it in my '05 Civic Lx and he passed me slowly but surely up the hill going around 50+

the 2.4L ecotec is mated with a 4speed hydra-matic 4t45-3 tranny, it has a lot of potential to be a much fast car since its CR is 10.6-1. but since it is a base model and fuel economy would be a consumer's biggest concern, gm has it programmed it to its best fuel economy wise, if you tune that car right, the 10.6-1 ratio motor would be much faster with much more aggressive torque but except your fuel economy to go down the drain.

It is really awful with the Cruze...the turbo drops out of boost then there is shift delay...then boost builds but to save gas they shift through all six gears at 60km/h and you drop in and out of boost like it is something cool to do. GM is crap and anyone proud of that car should be embarrassed.

I skipped GM altogether and went with a Sentra SE-R Spec-V. GM doesn't have a single car that comes close for the $.

GM's new v6's (3.5/3.6/3.9) are a PITA to work on. Major clusterfu##age under the hood. The ecotec's however are rather pleasant to service. I strongly suggest the ecotecs over GM's new v6's. Otherwise you'll be paying some heavy labor fees getting something fixed.

its called the base model. i have it. good sound but low power. most g6's are gtp or gt would recommend those not this base. this does get good gas millage though around 35mpg

to the guy with the lincoln ls, either a V6 or V8 either one would easily take a base model g6 4 cylinder, but my g6 gt would blow your doors off, and stock cougars with the 6 cylinder do 9.6 0-60, and it takes them almost 6 seconds to hit 50-70 after starting from the line

The Base has the 2.4 Inline 4...

The Base with V6 upgrade has 3.5 V6

The GT has 3.5 V6 with a different gear ratio and suspension upgrades

The GXP has the 3.6 like in the Malibu

They do not have a GTP anymore, however when they did have a GTP, it had the 3.9 that the Impala uses in its LTZ

What is so great about the interiors of foreign cars? They're made out the same plastics rubbers and materials that make up the interiors of American cars or any other transportation vehicle.

I have and both are equally good but personally I like the interior of my Grand Prix better because that is my preference. And I can guarantee you the interior components from all three cars came from the same manufacturers. Somethings else for all the "american" car bashers out there. The Accord is built in Canada and the USA by Canadian and American people so that makes it an American/Canadian made car. Not an import.
