This track is credited to Sylvester Levay on the soundtrack. It's possible he's just playing on it, but the soundtrack cover says "Additional music by Sylvester Levay" and all of his individual song credits are "performed by," so my impression is it's just him.

The rooftop scene was my favorite too. I used to watch it on VHS to give me inspiration before a big track meet, or a date or a job interview.
If Jerry could man up to Buddy in front of the whole school... I could face my minor challenges in life.

I am sooo glad I'm not alone in this. This is actually one of my favorite songs ever. Especially the intro while Jerry is on the roof. TD could not have done a better job of capturing the essence of that moment. It is perfect!
