  • Kings Guard is a civilian drill team. They are organized by Paul Naki and Donovan White. They are ex-JROTC/ROTC and all hold other jobs other than drilling! Their first few years on the team is training, mainly working out and seldom spin. Once they are ready they can begin working with the rifle!

  • lemme clear this up. they're a civilian drill team. like NGA.

  • Its Kings Guard a jrotc or regular Rotc? How do you get to be in their armed exhibition. Cause i see it i love it and im thinking on moving over there just to be in their armed exhibition.

  • honestly I dont know, I do know that they all come from other guards troops to form the best of the best. I dont think you can just go there and join, you have to have been in some other Royal Guard first.

  • Haaa is this like an acadamy or college? Cause i am in armed exhibition but i wanna make sure im playing my cards right to join or to be accepted.

  • oh i really do not know. sorry.

  • @xxsergio59xx

    The King's Guard is a post-high school team/group

  • Neither..

    They're civilian....

  • @xxsergio59xx kings guard is a civilian professional drill team, there may be some members on the kings guard who are in the national guard or reserves but they are a civilian drill team. They perform every night at the kings village in Waikiki, HI. they are also the judges of the civilian drill team at the nationals drill competition.

  • you're all retards. They are members of the HANG.

  • THANKS FOR THE COMMENT CAESAR.

    (you idiot)

  • Actually I believe these guys are part of a platoon sized ceremonial unit assigned to the Hawaii National Guard for public relations purposes.

So yes they are part of the military and yes they have fought in combat while assigned to other units.

  • they are civilians

  • How much combat have they seen?

  • combat? I doubt any at all. The official Waikiki "royal guard" was disbanded after Hawaii became part of the United States and they keep this 'attraction' going for the tourists, but in order to become part of the waikiki Royal Guard, they have to be the best of the best (not soldiers, mind you) but an elite squad that have perfected what they do.

  • Aside from the Guards in the military? None. They are not affiliated with any military branch.

  • I have this movie uploaded twice, the other one "Waikiki, Royal Guards, Hawaii" clocked in at :03:39 the audio actually synched up best on that one. I might be deleating this one in favor of the other one.

  • they really are awesome, I talked to them briefly prior to the flag changing, very humble and down to earth guys!

  • The Best of the Best, right there! I have a buddy who will be joining the team relatively soon.

  • lol. Dave still hasn't joined, if that's who you are talking about.
