  • Beautiful landscapes. I love New Zelland.

    Greetings from cold Poland. Maciek

  • amazing clarity and scenery makes this video so great...thanks for the ride my friend..

  • @keystrucker Thanks mate. You can see more of this road and pics of trucks on it from the railway track on other side in my video Manawatu gorge track and tunnel walk which is held once a year. The train crash - landslide pic on homepage was taken from the first part of this road.

  • I am wondering how you you had the camera set up? It is very smooth, you must have some sort of semi-permanent mount. Also you uploaded in 720p, do you have trouble like I do uploading in 1080 ? Also what was that white stuff on the ground at the end? jk :)

  • @gm16v149 In cab always mounted on a tripod which is strapped down to seat mounts. Camera only goes to 1280 x 720. Have you tried advanced upload option for bigger files, took me awhile to find that one, good if connection is interrupted.

  • @R580NZ Mine is a JVC Everio HD10 with 1080 res, some vids I have uploaded in 1080 mpeg-4 but it takes several attempts, so now I only upload in 720p. Y/Tube doesn't seem to like mpeg-4 so now I convert my files to wmv / HD.

Pretty spectacular country you got over there BTW...

  • aye mate nice vid, great driving. Were you doing and overnight trip in this vid?

  • @Iceroadlegend Yes, was going the long way around to auckland as many roads closed due to snow that day. New run now, home everyday now :)

  • nice vid, very nice landscape, Ireland in some places would remind you NZ a small bit;-)

  • @andrzejtrucker yes i wish i had visited there when i had the chance, met a lot of good irish people recently.

  • Beautiful video! Fantastic quality, too! Thanks for that! I wander where so much snow was. Maybe somewhere around the Sisters?

  • @horsereadish Snow video footage on this and IRT NZ vid both filmed waiuoru to ohakune area.

  • Thanks 61jack and roger trucker

  • Perfect video and interesting scenery from New Zealand roads.

Beautiful landscape , and great snow scenes at the end.

    Jack.

  • Wow looking good mate! Very best of videos out there.

    Cheers,

    RT

  • Great video!

Will we be seeing any more videos more often?

  • @kynox2 Thank you. When i have the time, have a lot of south island footage from holiday to go thru, fiordland tours, west coast glaciers etc. Maybe some truck slideshows in awhile.

  • Excellent vid!! Man, New Zealand is insanely gorgeous!! Beautiful country! Looks like snow at the end of the vid, how high in elevation were you? Those wind shield wiper would drive me crazy pretty quick.

What engine and transmission?? Im guessing a Scania V8.

  • @Xx69roadrunnerxX 16 litre Scania R580 v8. The snow scenes are from central north island near ohakune and waiouru, more from the same night can be seen in my ice road trucking nz style video.

  • train crash/ landslide photo now on homepage r580nz channel

  • @fabiobusscar . No it is in North Island near the city of Palmerston North. At the time of video the gorge river level is very high after heavy rain. Filmed last year near end of winter.

  • @R580NZ Thank You!

I Don´t Know your Country, but my dream go to the New Zealand!

Sorry I don´t Speak English Very Well!

  • @fabiobusscar That is OK. Your doing better than many other people. Over next couple months is hope to add some scenery vids and slideshows of south island. Comments always welcome :)

  • hi friend nice video, very awesome and this ravine, must surely be very dangerous, a hug and greetings Brazilian

  • @fabiano1041 It does often have small slips and rockfall onto road and in the video you will see repairs where the larger slips have happened. It is a major highway so much time and effort is spent keeping it open. About ten days ago there was a very large slip on the other side where the railway line is which is quite rare. The train only had 8 milk tanker wagons on but still couldnt stop. If you search internet news for train crash slip manawatu gorge you will see some interesting photos.

  • @ R580NZ hi friend thanks for your explanation was very helpful

I personally found this very interesting route, very steep curves and with his truck and walk very slowly, but I liked to look on the net to see more photos and videos Brazilian hugs and greetings
