One day someone told me there was a woman named Gayathri that lived at the edge of town. She taught me this precious mantra. It has become my breath. I have been transformed by it.
since I heard this first about more then 7 years ago the words and melody still sticks in my mind and soul like glue. I still love to sing along with this mantra and it gives me feelings of inner peace and a better world.

@likechicken1 the oldest pieces writing that we have are from Egypt and Sumer, so we have older evidence of those two languages than we do of Sanskrit.
Now I'm really confussed... I thought that Gayatri Mantra is not supposed to be chanted by women, I thought it's a man's mantra because of it's masculinity and the way it's said to be changing women if recited regularly. But there are deff women singing it here.... is singing really that different from chanting? Is it the meaning or the sound of the chant that can bring masculinity in women? @JanaKubalova someone told you something very superstitious... men and women can chant Gayatri, I've done so for over 2 decades and I'm still a woman, LOL (had 3 babies if that stops you from worrying). Maybe the person who told you means it changes the feminine mind in you, which is your subconscius mind.... we all have a subconscious mind, which influences the conscious mind, hence the transforming effect of this great Mantra.

This Gayatri Mantra song is still beautifull, whenever the pronounciation is correct or not. Don't forget the intention behind the vibrations, and that each bija by itself, if pronounced well (such as om) should produce, indivually, its effects. Also yesterday evening for example I was listening all night too mantras on my internet, now again !!! I become addicted to it and you know what ??? It is really working for me to release and open my heart more and more to God !!! Fantastic !!! Awesome !!!! I am really growing to God closer and closer, each day more and more ....

the heart chakra is gold, we cannot look at psuedo-spiritual images of meditating people with green heart chakras that are not radiant with infinite light, it gives us the wrong ideas. the heart chakra has been gold for a very long time,
gayatri mantra is a golden light, jesus was golden , buddha was golden, think about it , green is power , solar plexus, gold is love, infinitely giving, you do not infinitely give to others being green , it is not a transcendental color of purity

i don't think its sung by any Indian..c'mon ya u cant expect a foreigner to pronounce with the exact Sanskrit accent..and above all God is not that rude to expect the same accent,its the intention n feeling with what they sing..u said everyone idiot ,u think terming everyone idiots is better than the song these foreigner sings?

This Gayatri Mantra song is still beautifull, whenever the pronounciation is correct or not. Don't forget the intention behind the vibrations, and that each bija by itself, if pronounced well (such as om) should produce, indivually, its effects. I think you are the one loosing track by calling us idiots!
