Not sure when it'll be released, but check out DCS Black Shark. It takes place in the Black Sea-Kavkaz area just like LOMAC, but it much more detailed.

DCS is digital combat simulator, currently it is a totally in depth simulation of the KA-50 helicopter with every switch and button working.

They are going to release updates for DCS: which will be DCS:A10, F16 etc etc one every year or so.

Flaming Cliffs 2.0 is a revolutionary upgrade, it will allow Lock On to run alongside DCS in multiplayer, so the two games will be merging in a sense.

There will also be upgrades to that missiles and other things are simulated more realistically.

Well I wouldnt say better just LOMAC is air combat and BF2 is more oriented towards ground and plus you cant go very fast or high in BF2 and cant pick your aircraft loadouts, I would think of them as opposite games almost. Both great graphics and loads of fun.

you need a software called "Fraps" that captures (record) what you do in the game.

unfortunatly, the free version allows you to capture up to 30 seconds per video file...

They should merge the 2 games into one big super game. People can play soldier or fly jets. That would be one hell of a game, but to host both on 1 server with 500 players.. You need a NASA computer for that.
