@kkcuate the supra is a bit of a legend in its own right. if u r lookin for performance, you may as well get the supra and spend the extra tens of thousands to make it quicker. remember, the value of cars like the GT40 goes beyond pure velocity.

I dont get what the point of this was? The ford gt is a hell of alot easier to drive around a circuit or slalom than a 1000hp supra. plus its a midship car, and its na. a 600hp supra would have done better on the slalom.

I just showed you a video of Ryan doing an 8 in the 1/4. Also if you know anything about drag racing you would know that Ryan is faster because his car trapped higher and got the better ET as well. Losing traction would show a higher trap speed if the Ford GT was actually faster.

The only thing was that the design was taken from Safir Engineering (A BRITISH company) that was making reproduction Ford GTs. The original GT40 was in fact a mutt that was designed to compete with the Ferraris of that time and had numerous parts from different parts of the world and Very few parts from Ford. The EVO X as you mentioned has numerous parts from Mitsubishi. I'm done talking to you.

@5999cc How do we know that? Mullet isn't geared for the 1/4 mile and a big difference between it and those 4000 lb GT500s is that the Ford GT has IRS. Ryan's Supra is. He also traps higher. I just showed you a video of Ryan doing an 8 in the 1/4. Also if you know anything about drag racing you would know that Ryan is faster because his car trapped higher and got the better ET as well. Losing traction would show a higher trap speed if the Ford GT was actually faster.

@kageryu311 alright thank you for that clarkson. unfortunately you're wrong. chassis is not British; it is American. the chassis was designed, tested, and built in america. if you did some research instead of watching top gear for facts you would know. and the transmission is british not german. just because it has a few foreign parts doesn't mean it's not ford. by your logic i guess the evo 10 isn't mitsubishi since it has german brakes(brembo) and seats(recaro).

@racoonpooon You are right, the Ford GT's Chassis was designed in the US. The only thing was that the design was taken from Safir Engineering (A BRITISH company) that was making reproduction Ford GTs. The original GT40 was in fact a mutt that was designed to compete with the Ferraris of that time and had numerous parts from different parts of the world and Very few parts from Ford. The EVO X as you mentioned has numerous parts from Mitsubishi. I'm done talking to you.
