Bravo monsieur le grand bricoleur votre avion est bien fait j’espère voir un jour votre avion dans les aires bon courage camarade ! Mohamed sami Ahrès de la tunisie .
It looks like It will still be fairly light! What do you plan to use for power? Will 6 .60s do it, or will it be light enough to use smaller engines? How thick will the skin be? My favorite thing about this (other than it's a B-36) is that it is mostly wood! No Fiberglass.
The motors are electric. To turn scale 22" props it have the power of about a 120, but I will never use 100% power. The skin is balsa will 2.2 ounce glass cloth.
I've loved B36's since I was a young kid. And I've loved Yes almost as long. Great to listen to Tales From Topographic Oceans in the background particularly Ritual.
I love those flaps! Good luck transporting that thing.....you may have to rent a hanger at the nearest airport. I would like to see some out board turbines on it but I think tou spent enough already...lol. The hobby shop must love you! Good luck with the maiden....I'm sure it flys like most planes....your knees just knock a little louder.
There will be 2 radios, one for the flight control system, and the other for landing gear, bomb bay doors, and release of the fake 15MT nuke, that will weigh about 1.75 pounds. This plane is electric and will have a flight time of about 8 minutes and be able to lift about 2 pounds of fake bombs.
Very impressed . . . I mean VERY IMPRESSED with your B-36 RC. I used to see the real ones fly over our San Diego home heading to Lindbergh Field. They were on final approach and low - their engines would literally shake the house. I ran outside each time one flew over and looked up in total awe. I was three and remember those flyovers as though it was yesterday. I look forward to seeing your B-36 finished. All the best with your ambitious project.
Wonderful mechanisms on the flaps, well done! I've been following this on RCgroups for a while, can't wait to see her fly! Out of interest how many servos is it going to have?
Congratulations! It looks as ugly as the real thing, but I mean that only in the best way. Have you built a hangar out back for storing it once completed? 8-D
I'm speechless, Have to admit though, this is madness :D! If I were a "test pilot" for this thing, the idea of making a maiden flight would scare the $hit out of me - so many hours of work put in this project, plus inevitable flight risks - uh, only for guys with "balls of steel". Keep up the good work and good luck!
Excellent! I have been watching your build thread but this video really puts the scale and the work you have put in so far into perspective! An amazing machine. Thanks for sharing it with the world. Like thousands of others, I will be watching with bated breath for the maiden...

It even looks like the structure is scale. From the fuselage truss, to the wing boxes. Bet it kills you to have to cover it up! (It does me!)
