In 07-08 Bynum's season ending injury created a need for LA to acquire another big man. He is a non-factor in the 08 finals. Perkins' absence was a deciding factor in the '10 finals.

1. Perkins injury was not a factor in game 7. Wallace had 12 points and 8 rebounds, perkins might have gotten what 2 more boards? But he averaged six less points. Hello people, the celtics scored 79 points, thats awfully hard to win a finals game with that amount of points, plus wallace was the only one on any of the teams to have game 7 finals experience. In 07-08 Bynum's season ending injury created a need for LA to acquire another big man. He is a non-factor in the 08 finals. Perkins' absence was a deciding factor in the '10 finals.

NBA have 12 roster spots for a reason...gotta use the bench.

@74rkd But see, the Lakers already made their adjustments. Gasol, Odom, Artest, Bryant & Fisher WERE the starters for 3/4 of the season and the entire postseason. Couple that with 20 FTs & you get a Laker win. I'm a Bulls fan & it's impossible to not draw parallels. Jordan wouldn't have done what Kobe did (Yes I know, he ain't Mike). But still, a winning team doesn't depend on the refs to win the game for them.

Kobe "Bean" Bryant is the best player in the NBA and has been since Jordan. Although I do think Jordan is the best player ever, i believe Kobe is the best scorer the NBA has ever seen. Lebron to me is the best athlete ever who happened to play @ a later age but should never be compared to a legend like Kobe. Kobe was born with basketball in his D.N.A being his farther is Jelly "Bean" Bryant which is one of the reasons the guy is so clutch and cold blooded. Kobe is by far the best of the 2000's.

If the Celtics are gonna claim they have never lost with their starting five, then the Celtics never beat the Lakers starting five, either. But the fact is that LA and BOS have won the last three titles and split them. But a healthy Bynum and Ariza would have been a BIGGER difference-maker than having one player hurt, particularly when you consider that Perkins is an offensive liability
