Thank you Junior, for more unbelievablenights than I can count at Sound Factory... in the summer we used to pack coolers full of juice and sandwiches -coat check them, leave SF around 10 am and take train to Fire Island to spend Sunday afternoon on the beach, coming down. I was also one of the few girls in the place, but I can't remember ever feeling the hostility I sometimes felt at other gay clubs; the whole place glowed with positive energy, stellar performances, and it smelled amazing!

Duh! Your right. I must still have some brain damage from all the acid. I went to some shows at the knitting factory in the early 90's before I discovered techno.
I use to go to webster hall on friday nights and when they would close at 4 we would go to the Knitting factory to see Jr spin. The knitting factory's named changed to Twilo not to long before it closed. We had so much fun, you never knew what was going to happen. We were would candy flip leaving webster hall and then dance for a few more hours there.
That's correct...That was the original Sound Factory...which turned into Twilo...Sound factory is where it all began. The Best gay club in NY & I was one of the few female's to enter and enjoy immensly...Thank You Junior...Darryl & Fernando
kingbilly, exactly which where those 11 years you lived in New York? Certainly it wasn't 1990-1994. If you were paying 80 dollars, that was much later. You missed out on the era when Junior was Junior
Junior is a genius. And when focused he TURNED IT OUT. Legendary.HOwever his genius did not protect him from DIva antics, Losing touch with trends, and Letting HORRIFIC management run Junior and his career into the ground. I should know he and his "manager" effed me out of about 50k in earnings from Parties they cut me out of. SHADY SHADY Then FLOPPED on their own. BAD Karma? I hope so. Junior is now spinning in a room capacity of 300. Now that's just Pathetic. Jerome or Junior u reading this?
I've heard a few people tell me the same thing...that "now he only plays well when he really feels like it." But I figuire that if he's RELEASING his new album that he'l play well. we'l see!
I can't wait to hear him release his new album ("Generation Next") at CIELO on Thursday April 30th! I have high hopes! Ive heard many of his tracks& I like them very much--but I have yet to hear him perform LIVE! So far my favorite DJ's Ive seen live are 1) Danny T, 2) Victor Calderone, & a very close 3) Boris. I cant rank JV yet since I havent heard him rip it up at a club! I wish it was at Pacha till Noon...but I giess Cielo will have to do for now! HOUSE MUSIC I LOVE YOU!!! :)
I have not respect for him, I lived in NYC for 11 years during is picked time in Clubs, JV used to charged up to 80$ to get in into a club; who does he think it is?? NYC people made him who he is today and he never had respect for his crowd. No soul in his music!!
I came to NYC just as Sound Factory closed. My first club experience in NYC was a party Junior had at Roseland. I was blown away by the music and the whole atmosphere. He then went to Tunnel and I followed every Saturday. The music was dark and demonic and so was the crowd. Then he moved over to Palladium and believe me when I tell you it was a religious experience EVERY TIME I went which was every Saturday night. The time I spent there has been some of the most amazing experiences of my life.
I was there the last night it closed and no one wanted to leave. The closing happened a few days after Princess Diana was killed. I know I'll never experience that type of experience as long as I live. I can't even explain to you what the experience was. It was just otherworldly and supernatural. Junior is some sort of magician, sorcerer, wizard. After Palladium he went over to Twilo and I hated it. I stoped going out then. Nothing will ever top Arena at The Palladium.
eres el mejor junior felicitaciones te esperamos en venezuela tanto como nosotros los amantes del house y los amantes de la buena musica y los que no somos homofobicos jajajajaja
Padres claimed RHP Virgil Vasquez off waivers from the Red Sox.
We thought the Padres might be picking up a Boston pitcher off waivers, but we figured it'd be Charlie Zink after they previously grabbed knuckleballer Charlie Haeger during the season. Instead, they're taking Vasquez, who was Tigers property until the Red Sox claimed him in October. The 26-year-old was 12-12 with a 4.81 ERA, 179 H and 115/37 K/BB in 159 IP for Triple-A Toledo last season. He's a fringe fifth starter/middle reliever
I absolutely need to know what song that is at the end of this video. 8:20.. Miss thing there is no guest list tonight. Is there a official remix for that song? Cuz i havent been able to find out for a while now
You want (not Lil Louie Vega) Lil' Louis and the World's "Club Lonely" featuring Joi Cardwell on vocals and I think, not sure, that the intro is spoken by Kevin Aviance.
I remember listening to Radio 1 in the uk on the millenium eve, and they had him playing live from New York and he played a version of Fcuk the Millenium which was amazing. I cant ever find it on here, but it blew me away at the time

JV was cute at the the Sound Factory and Tunnel and okay at Twilo but from there it all went downhill... I live in DC now and he played here for Pride and he was terrible. He's lost it...
Miss Thing, you're talking about that Party at Platinum in June on a Thursday nite? Junior never showed for that party due to family issues (it was posted right up on the wall as you walked in). The person spinning that night was either Lorant, the opening dj from NYC or some random person they asked to dj. The music was uneventful.

Yeah. I don't know any "alli-g8r" DJs either. Or, arguably, Danny Tenaglia and perhaps Pete Rauhofer. I consider them gr8, and lovely & smooth David Morales.
