I got in as a transfer with a 3.8 gpa. I have friends who didnt get in with 3.4ish gpa's. I know its not the 4.10gpa you need to get in as a freshman, but it is more challenging than the 2.0 you need to get into Cal-State schools.  :)

@wrathofme03 I think maybe you should look up the UC system before you make accusations like that. The average acceptance rate at UCSB is a 4.10, and most accepted students were in the top 10% of their class. Nice try, though.

Ok for those of u that don't know about IV. there are tons of parties, I just don't think they record them. They are not drinking, because u get arrested for drinking on the street, heck u get arrested for carrying a bottle or a cup with nothing on it. About half or more of these people are not UCSB students. UCSB students are not trash, we are 4.00 top of our class students, that just happen to be mad sexy despite our brains. Life is not fair deal with it.

@82hky82 they shouldn't. community college is for the purposes of going to school to save money, commute and prepare for your bachelors degree in your OWN community. i'm not gonna debate the difficulty of getting into UCSB, but i am sick of SBCC trash take over isla vista acting like they own the place just cause their spoiled asses begged their mom to pay 600+/month a rent just so they could get their AA degree. it's bullshit, Isla Vista is a walking distance from UCSB, not SBCC.
