It's soo sad....not only for the animals who ingest the plastic but for us who eat the sea creatures who ingest the plastic...I can only imagine what the cancer rates will be like in 20 years.
I'm going to build a home on The Great Garbage Patch in the Pacific. Build my walls out of plastic bottles it'll be great. And my kids will have gills - its the real life Water World!
i think we wont be able to walk on it...its just a bunch od debris...i say, lets move it in dubai and let them make it in to the first coke bottle visible form space
its outrageous that i have not been educated about this in school, im 14 years old and this is the FIRST time ive ever heard the phrase "garbage vortex" i cannot beleive that a problem this big is not geting more attention, astonishing really.
Wow its just horrible and seems theimportant things are always on the back page of the news. Great info on this, which i remeber seeing briefly on Geo. It should be in political campaigns and i remain outraged and at the same time dumbfounded!
Yikes, I of course already knew that plastic was an environmental problem but I didn't know to what extent. I think you mentioned this garbage patch a long time ago in another video but really that video and this one are the only times I've heard about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. You needed to mention by what exact methods the 80% of the Patch which is from land based sources gets into the Patch. (Or perhaps you do in the next part/s.)

It just amazes me how much a problem this big can just not be covered regularly in the news or in campaigns, like you said..... I just don't get it.
