dorigilder - The original software used in this demonstration did not have synchronization between DownScan and Broadband Sonar (2D). Now the software synchronizes these displays.
manvanuatu - Yes it works in saltwater. DownScan works to 300 ft, SideScan works to 150ft and 250ft to each side. Waves can have an adverse effect on performance, but 2-4ft waves is manageable.
at 5:01 in this video they are displaying side scanning, down scanning and traditional 2d fish finder video...The down scan and 2D don't seem yo be matching the bottom contours? Can this be explained?
