The series Xenosaga was supposed to retell the original planned storyline from Xenogears (of which only #5 was made). The series was going to go up to #6. Namco-Bandai decided to stop production after #2 was a horrible failure, so the elements of #4 that were completed were rolled into #3.

gah! lol at the end of the game its so hard to lvl when you kill everything cause you dont havce that many enemies to train on that have real good exp lol but it was and still is one of my favorite games lol sucks for jin though.... my most favorite xenosaga character

Xenogears did have the best videogame story ever (yes, better than Metal Gear :P).

I found myself disappointed at the final boss of the game. Story wise anyway. Were any of you like "what the @#$%#$ is this?"  Were they gonna make another game and in mid sequence of the story like "Oh we did not make enough @#$%$# money so were done here"

I hate when they leave the story open (though sometimes it works artistically speaking)

They should hire me as a story designer I got some crazy stuff up there in that head of mine :P

yuki kajiura's music is so incredibly awesome! they all give me chills and get my heart racing. even though i never played xenosaga, i've heard some of the music and that's probably reason enough for me to play it lol

Xenosaga is one of the most underrated RPG's out there I have episode 1 trough 3 and I love them all. The story, songs, artwork is what make Xenosaga series my favorite rpg series.

Just to throw my opinion in the mix, I loved Xenogrears, one of the best rpgs I have ever played. When I went to the first xenosaga I was a bit dissapointed, I have not had a chance to play the others but the game deviated alot from what I expected and fell short of what I thought it was to be. I can only hope that 2 and 3 are much better.

Same here Xenogears Rocks man it ROCKS! I too felt a little disappointed with the series. Xenogears 1 2 and 3 they had there moments. But some how the story went down the toilet (play 3 you'll understand what I am saying)

For me Xenogears was a good game my fave though was chrono trigger that is still my top game. Xenogears and Chrono triggeer had very good stories and if I were going to base it plainly on story Xenogears would be #1 on my list.

One of the problems in Xenosaga was the fact that the bosses usually had ridiculous amounts of HP, which made battles unnecessarily long. I prefer a harder hitting, more difficult boss as opposed to one that's just tedious to fight... I still love and cherish Xenosaga very much. <333
