Bodos (also known as kachari) from Assam , India are Kirats too. Bodos in their ancient years used to pray their forefathers. But due to encroachment by Aryan they have been influenced and sanskritized into Hinduism.The Bodo language is of Tibeto-Burmese family which adheres again to Kirat. And yes definitely Kirats-Bodo are demanding freedom from Indian rule. That's why Kirats-Bodo militants kill 8 Indian soldiers who opposed them. Unite Kirat.

Ted, thanks lots for your interest to know about Bodo Community, Yet I have not Govt. ratio. but according to my own analysis, probably they are belonging from Hindu religion (Mainly they performed Bathou and Brahma) some 15-20% are taken other religion nowa days.

Please don't mistake this to folk music of Assam. This is some folk tunes heavily influenced by Bollywood.
