  • for those who are not paying attention...the title of the vid say's for dry hair...like myself I need to put oil in my hair..so if you have oily hair this vid is not for you

  • Thanks for everyone's thoughts and inputs.

  • Dr. Bronners is what I use all the time for shampooing my hair, & u dont need 2 add more oils to it, its shampoo/cleanser all in 1, I thought I'd find a decent recipe on this channel. also yr pics are not good quality...sorry but I had to say it.

  • Dr.Bronners is made of oils like olive oil and others, why do you need to add more?? I just put a few drops of Dr.Bronners in a bottle of water, shake it, and its good to go. A warning though; dont use too much or it will make your hair greasy! A little goes a long way, and one bottle of Dr.Bronners lasts like forever:)

  • um put oil in yout hair when you are trying to take it out um no

  • if you add the water first it wont get so foamy !

  • Thanks I have overcome Follicular Lymphoma and have started eliminating all chemicals applied to the body either thru the mouth under the arm or skin and hair

I have already found that my mind /body/ does not like Sodium Laurel Sulfate or Flouride found in tootpaste Found a good naturally made toot paste consisting of 3 parts baking soda 1 part gycerine 1 part sea salt and some natural oils for taste

  • @gvblk4yt I heard baking soda's really good for the teeth, though the recipe I've heard of (1 part baking soda, 1 part hydrogen peroxide, peppermint or spearmint oil for taste) was recommended for once a week. Wouldn't it strip off the enamel if you use it as regular toothpaste (twice or more in a day)?

  • @ylfriends Magnesium Chloride rebuilds the enamel... just get the mag flakes (the pure stuff) and make up a mouth wash and use it everyday after brushing and it'll rebuild the enamel...

  • Like the commenter SRT4andGC8, I'm kind of curious why you watered down something already labeled for use as shampoo&added (GMO)soy-corn-cotton-rapeseed oils to it? "Vegetable oil" is NOT natural, not in the least bit--ever seen how much sludge + grime results in that mess? It's grotesque! 1st cold press EVOO IS natural-you can actually press oil out. Avocado's better,(real)nuts(not peanuts-they're legumes!) too. "Vegetable"oil requires intense heat&importantly *harsh added chemicals* to create.

  • Did you know that adding a little bit of salt will thicken the shampoo and bind the water, oil and soap. You have to test to find the right amount. Too much it goes back runny.

  • @sweetbubblegum571 Hi Bubblegum, I live in Canada as well and just saw this Castille soap at SuperStore (Lawblaws) yesterday. The brand name is Dr. Bronner's. You will find it in the natural/health food/organic section with other hair care products.

  • can Castile be replaced by Moroccan soap?

  • What kind of conditioner do you use?

  • What is the PH balance of this shampoo?

  • Dr Bronners is already a natural soap you can use as shampoo. Why do you add oil and then water it down? I don't see how this is "making shampoo". All you did was water down soap someone already made. You can use any liquid or bar soap as shampoo. This is just a video on how to water down your soap to stretch out the use of it.

  • May I use differend kind of soap?

  • Actually, bottled water is not the best water use. Tap water run through a filter is much healthier. Bottled water is packaged in bottles made with a refined crude oil liquid called Polyethylene terephthalate (It is labeled PET or PETE on the bottom of the bottle under the recycle symbol). This thermoplastic polymer resin contains benzene which causes cancer, which in turn leaches out into the water. Bottled water should never be drunk or used. Use filtered tap water to avoid these chemicals.

  • @missirishclover See the documentary "Tapped" for all the details on bottled water. It is really a sick industry. And if you are worried about tap water containing impurities, think about it this way: our municipalities test our tap water 300-400 times a month, while the FDA and bottled water companies hardly ever test their water after processing, and if they do it is tested by an industry paid tester, not an independent tester. Tap water, in reality, is way cleaner. Check out "Tapped." Cheers.

  • Dr. Bronner's soap should not be used on hair. That is not it's intended purpose and the pH is far too high for safe use on hair.

  • @madametj On Dr. Bronner's official website it states the soap is multi-purpose. "18 in 1" is right on the bottle. Also on the website under the Organic Hair Conditioning Rinse it states "Organic Hair Care in 3 Easy Steps...1.Shampoo with your favorite Dr. Bronner’s soap."

  • Does anyone knows how to make a truley 100 procent natural shampoo or soap without using a chemicals such as peroxide, sulfate or chloride. You claim that this is a natural shampoo but you used a pre-made concentrated soap which contains such substance, so...I understand that for you americans nuclear waste is a natural but can someone please tell me is it possible to make it and how. Thanks:)

  • @oostasha you can make your own pure olive oil (castille) soap, then grate the bar to make liquid castille soap out of the solid. After that, proceed as you normally would. Do a quick google search for "home made castille soap". You'll find more recipes than you can try.

  • @oostasha What are you talking about? Dr. Bronners Castile soap which is what was used is organic and vegan.

  • @oostasha Dr. Bonner's soap contains none of the ingredients you mentioned. Read the labels carefully and if in doubt researched the ingredients. Potassium hydroxide (if that is what you are referring to) is a mineral that is broken down during the saponifying process that occurs in soapy substances at which it practically becomes non existent.

  • @oostasha

    Trollin' on the Americans.

    Hilarious.

  • @oostasha I understand that for you trolling fools (has nothing to do with ethnicity or nationality--stupidity is clearly universal), verbal diarrhea waste is a natural, but can you please tell me is it possible for you to utilize proper English when insulting an entire nation full of scientists who know what the fuck chlorides, sulfates, and peroxides actually are--you know, peroxides are like 2 oxygens, whoa, so freakin weirrrd, and duude sodium chloride's salt, fuuuuckkkk so unnatural, egads!

  • (PS Darling reader: if curious why my grammar sucketh so much, here's oostasha's post I replied to: "Does anyone knows how to make a truley 100 procent natural shampoo or soap without using a chemicals such as peroxide, sulfate or chloride. • Nice music and pictures but when making a how too video there should be some talking

  • love it - simple straight to the point

  • @sweetbubblegum571

    wholefood

  • How long does this batch last?

  • awesome! lol love this music

  • on ebay you can look for a 100% natural, organic base which contains very few, neutral ingredients for a shampoo. then the only thing u need to do is just add your receipe of natural ingredients (oils and essential oils etc) to it and shake ^^ so much easier

  • @sweetbubblegum571 Health food stores in your area should carry them. Are there any GNC's in your area?

  • is castile soap alright for dry hair?

  • This little theme song reminds me f Mario Cart so much :) ha...for a moment there.

  • @nessie4oc LOL

  • whats the background band/music?

  • this would work and will not kill your hair good on you

  • is there a way to make hair really clean and shiny witj no soap, like other kind of shampoo

  • @FlypaperGirl I've heard of an apple cider vinegar rinse, but have never tried it.

  • @MizzezJaxon one tbl spoon of baking soda per cup of water is a really good no poo method. then after rinsing use a tbl spoon of vinegar per cup of water to rinse your hair and balance your ph. my hair has never been shinier! it also cures mild dandruff.

  • @MizzezJaxon i use an apple cidar vinegar rinse once a week. smells a littl funny but it works. it balances your PH and stripes your hair of build up - but COLORED HAIR beware as it also removes the color off the hair. another note - add two tbsp of A.C.V. to a 16.9 oz bottle of water and it detoxifies your body. :} hope that helps you

  • @FlypaperGirl

Terressentials is another hair cleanser you could try. It's a mud wash. Yes, mud, but I have heard nothing but great reviews about it. USDA certified organic. Only thing is that it isn't recommended for chemically altered hair, so I haven't tried it yet (transitioning). =/

  • @MsAshantia63 I'll try that cause my hair was never dyed even - all natural so to say, thank you

  • @FlypaperGirl after you condition your hair wash your hair with cold water :) you will see a difference x

  • @FlypaperGirl Make a creamy batter out of chickpea flour and water, use it as a shampoo, rinse well and as final touch spray some apple vinegar. It wroks and hair stays clean for a long time.

  • @FlypaperGirl i'm looking for this too tell me if you find something please

  • hi. do you know where to get castile soap besides buying from online?

  • @SelasNight You can get it at GNC or your local health food store.

  • oh cool thanks. =)

  • @MizzezJaxon target sells it

  • @SelasNight I recently seen this brand of soap @ my local Walmart.

  • @SelasNight Target also sells it.

  • i wonder if salt would be good because its a natural water softener

  • Yeah especially if you live in an area with hard water. Thanks for your comment!

  • Thank your for your video, I will try it out!

  • Great. It's very good for dry hair and it wont strip all of the natural oils out of your hair.

  • Back to basics is always good.

  • hey hun i'm gonna try this out when i get the chance i'm just not sure they sell the same products over here in the uk x

  • hmmm....do they have a GNC in the U.K? They have that product. Try your local health food store.

  • You can add your favorite conditioner for a "cleansing cream".

  • Yeah i like to use shea butter based products. Vegetable glycerin is also a good moisturizer and hair conditioner. Thanks! : )
