  • I have a Sony HDSR5 camcorder ,will this Mic. work with it? It seriously sux when trying to record sound....thanks.

  • @TravelerNTime U have to see what kind of model mic u can use with that cam....but so far I think Sony mics fit them all...

  • The ECM-HST1 supposed to be better for recording music. BTW, nice performance.

  • @ahua101 Thks ! I'm not quiet satisfied yet with my audio recording,but it's better !

  • What happenes if you go to a rock concert and record sound with this mic. Is working good? Or is the same "broken sound" when you hear the music on your PC?

  • @EDYLAFOCA1953 Never tried it yet in a concert...But what u mean by broken sound?? Is it in this vid??

  • @Javic2112 Hallo Javic. I'm not talking about your video. I´m talking about the videos I recorded with my camera, most of them big rock concerts at stadiums, theaters, etc. where the bands plays high volume. It looks that Sony cameras doesn´t have sound "limiter". I tried last weekend with an external mono mic. at an open concert. Didn´t got "break"sound, but quality is not good for record music. Anyway thanks for your reply. Greetings from Buenos Aires.-

  • @EDYLAFOCA1953 Hallo,Thks for replying ! I can say that I'm agree with u about sound limiter. It's way much better since I used this external Sony mic.But i'm not perfectly happy yet...I'm a musician, and I go to a lot of concerts...So I was hoping better quality from Sony products.I have been always happy with Sony for Visual quality, but for sounding,it's little poor.On next March,I will assist to bass clinic with the Virtuos Victor Wooten in Sam Ash Store in Manhattan NY.So I'll try it again !

  • @Javic2112 Hi Javi, thanks for your message. I agree with you. Sony videocamcorders have a very good image but not good sound. I will try tonight on a rock and blues club, an external mic, a sterero one: ECM-HST1 just for testing. Canon cameras have good image and sound too. I have everything Sony at home, and this camera HDR-SR11 always had the same sound trouble. I was a drummer for several years in my life, not anymore, I'm 57, but I like to record rock concerts alive. Greetings, good luck.

  • @EDYLAFOCA1953 Hello again ! I didn't find any vids of u playing drums on ur channel ?? I would love to see and hear u play !!! If u don't mind, can u tell me,out of ur upload vids, witch ones are with external mic and those witout it ! So I could compare the differents !!! BTW,how can u records that much LIVE show with ur cam...I mean they never allowed us to carry cam in those events !!!

  • @Javic2112 Javi: I don´t play drums anymore. It happened on last 80's and 90's, and for that time technology was not the same than this days. I have no videos from me playing with different bands, here in Argentina or Perú, Colombia or Mexico. I´m sorry, but is true. All videos that I recorded, were using built on mic. On last video called "FITO PAEZ" I used the same mic you have: ECM-HGZ1, that is mono. At least didn´t break sound, but quality is so poor. Tonight I will test stereo mic.

  • @duilkin Thks a lot ! I'm getting old,that is why my hands freak out ! lol !!!

  • Sounds great!
