I don't know what it is about this movie. But for some reason I enjoy it much more than all the new horror flicks like Saw, Hostel and the slasher re- makes of the '00's.
If it was the coil that was shot, the engine would still turn over repeatedly, just not start, so obviously it isn't a coil problem. So if the battery is actually good, would most likely be the solenoid, and you could bypass it with something like metal pliers to jump the two terminals. The killer's plan would have been foiled if the kids knew a few basics about engines. First lesson, never take an automatic out in the boondocks...at least you can bomb-start a standard with a dead battery :)

@mrmonkeyisland1 its always good to be prepared for a trip. if i ever go on a trip, im gonna make sure i take a gun. especially if im with my family. taking unnecessary chances is not in option, in anyway shape or form! you got too many sick people in the world to be traveling around, unaware and unprepared.

@Oskadella69 in alot of parts in the movie it jumps in one clip it gets half way through then starts over but the vocals continue on and the volume is so low you have turn your tv all the way up and its still low and the voice dont mach their mouths just thought you should know

In fact, there is no story like this that actually occurred in real life, so the 'true events' caption at the start of the film is just a gimmick in the same was that 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' is 'based on a true story.'
