  • You guys are brilliant!

Really - excpetional timing and feel!

I have heard many bands try to do ellis' soup but you guys really nailed it!

  • Wow, much, much better than I'd expected! Very nice.

  • If you like this video, then check out the "UMass Marimba Bands and Ensembles" page on Facebook!

  • Very nice! This is the first adaptation of Strawberry Soup I've heard that actually hung together as a piece. The drum and bugle corps arrangements I've heard carve the original up so abruptly that unless you've heard the original, you have no clue what's going on.

  • I guess it's a little hard to put a jazzy tune like this onto a field for DCI. The structures don't go very well together, not that I've heard yet at least.

  • That's Outstanding....nice dynamics - I could hear all of the horns parts....

  • Always love "Strawberry Soup". First heard the Scouts perform it back in the early '80's... great job with the marimba version!

  • Now THAT is some sexy stuff. Well done, and arranged beautifully.

  • Almost as good as the composer (Don Ellis) did it himself...
