@TheFrostySnowboy It's a deer. They fall off naturally each year and grow the next year even bigger than before. This deer seems to be healthy by the way it moves with them. Don't worry.
@nikkilynn90 Saw them off?? Antlers are living tissue with bone underneath. I'm pretty sure it would be more painful to saw them off than carry them around.
@milkgirlofdoom antlers are like your the ends of your finger nails that you cut, they are pretty much just bone and they arent living tissue if you cut to close to the base they might feel it but not much, horns have living tissue underneath and would hurt to be sawed off
@colter073 I know the difference between horns and antlers. I was talking about if you chose to start cutting the antler now when it clearly still has the velvet tissue still covering the antlers. That tissue has blood running through it, so the deer would bleed if you cut at the antler. Any scratch or incision I have ever seen that is in living tissue has blood. Therefore, it would HURT the animal. It is best to just wait for the antlers to fall off naturally.
@colter073 yeah, like how your skin will fall off by itself once a mountain lion has disconnected it from your body. gravity. duh, damn you're a stupid cracker hick prick.
if i were to see this deer while sitting my blind id probably have the WORST case of buck fever ever. wouldnt be able to sit still. at deer is beautiful.
Poor deer. Looks like he's in pain. I have more respect for a hunter that shoots a button buck over a huge bait pile on state property than someone who shoots one of these hormone pumped fenced in giants. Looks pretty inhumain.
@RobbytheLion people alter genetics then sell the sperm to people that have high fenced hunting property....its people like this that post this video that gives hunters a bad name....no challenge in shooting a deer that cant get out of a certain area
@roddroddy1, you see the fuzzy looking stuff on his antlers, that is what is commonly called velvet. If there is still velvet on his antlers that means there is still blood flow into his antlers, which means if you were to cut the antlers off it could possibly bleed to death!! Gotta love "educated" animal lovers!
It's inhumane to not cut off the antlers! The poor deer is suffering with all that weight on his head and neck! The deer was taken out of his natural habitat so has been unable to naturally keep the antlers from growing out of control.
@roddroddy1 Ever think about how strong his neck is from having all that weight on it? Go ahead and wear 10-15 extra pounds on your head for a while, add a little bit of weight each week. then take it all of and put it back on after a couple days. I am pretty sure you will be amazed how it use to feel a lot heavier. Just saying. But farm raised hunting does sort of take the fun out of hunting. And doesnt give the hunter the true experience of hunting.
@SvB4EvA You can tell that by the way he holds his neck, a healthy deer wouldn't stand that way. He would have died a long time ago if he was in the wild with those antlers. :(
I WANT THEM ON MY WALL

Antlers simply cant grow like that on deer. Is father a moose or is this some sort of experiment?

@milkgirlofdoom true, but the velvet falls off any way, after it falls off it wouldnt hurt

@colter073 True, similar to how your skin peels off so easily when a puma is tearing your backside apart. Good point.
