i have pulled our semi out stuck with a cummins in it with a blowed turbo with a 15 ton jib crane on the lowboy out with my duramax and yeah my allison is still pulling the truck around i had a dodge to trannys are expensive at 4 grand a pop good motors if they had a truck to back it up but i have had two duramaxes since it and wouldnt go back

At one point, Ford owned 10% stock in the company, which is no where near controlling status, but Cummins bought them all back over 8 years ago. Basically, from what I've been told, Ford just saw them as a good company to invest in. They are an amazing motor.

Try watching a video of a tractor pull once. You may want to even talk to a Pulling team driver (although the redneck factor is pretty high there). They spin the tires on purpose when pulling. The do this every time and wouldn't you know it, they pull a huge amount of weight! Spinning tires does not mean no traction.
