So when she said that the troops in Iraq were down to pre-surge levels, she was referring to Afghanistan. She probably distracted from several points by turning around, looking out the window and exclaiming about all the beautiful monuments constructed by the people of Louisiana and that they're just as industrious as those people down there in Miami who built that Golden Gate Bridge thing.

I think you just don't like the style and simplicity of her delivery. No, it's not a wonkish answer steeped in in deep policy speak, but the contents of what she's saying is on point and accurate.

Admittedly her depth of knowledge is suspect, but her ethics and character are solid.

Now if she learns her sh*t and can articulate it in interviews and debates, she'll pull a Reagan to Obama's Mondale in 2012 if she even runs.

Actually, most people in Iraq and Afghhanistan know that Americans do not care about them - that is one of the reasons why America has absolutely no success in the region. Only regional powers can bring change, and that is - right now - Iran. If americans pull back, Iran will take care of everything and stabilize its power. That is also the reason why the US government supports terrorist groups within Iran, such as the "People'e Mujahedin" who target civilians in Iranian cities.
