  • Congratulations on your trip. I also own a 1998 F650, excellent bike. On 2008-2009 we went from Bogotá, COLOMBIA to Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA and back chasing the first South American Dakar Rally. All the way through Eucador, Perú, Chile and Argentina. Fabulous trip. We traveled two F650s. It took us 15,000kms and 45 days. Both bike rode 2 up. Your video inspires me to make my own. Best regards, Jaime.

  • I envy a motorcycle is really the same in Japan

  • That was some great distances. Especially on a big single cylinder bike. I wouldn't even attempt it with less that a boxer twin, and a sport tourer at that. Great job.

  • respect my friend....well done

  • BRO U R THE MAN...............YOUR COHONES R BIGGER THAN ANY

    BODYS

  • What a nice video and awesome adventure...I envy you. Did you go solo?

  • I am considering trading my 1990 K100 LT for a 1997 650 funduro. I would like to ask you about trips like this, what outfits you wear (riding clothing) and I can only assume you totally endorse the 650...I want to build up to doing something like this in the future...thanks

  • I've done 21,000 on my Funduro in the last year. I've just returbed from my last trip which was 17 days where I covered 4,300 miles. I feel pathetic compared to this. You're a legend!

  • Un gran viaje..impresionante..

    Saludos

  • Epic journey, I'm impressed...mind you, I'm even MORE impressed that you called into Joe Cockers place, wish I could do that.

  • Congrats on living the dream mate. Hope to do something similar on my 650gs around Australia soon. Just gotta quit the job!

  • Very Nice trip.

Was it a solo trip or you took some friends along with you?

Do you still own the bike?

I also have a bike like that an I'm afraid to go alone on such adventures because of potential breakdowns

  • Man I used to have F650 funduro in silver, wish I'd kept it.

Looks like the trip of a lifetime man!!!.

  • Hi-great adventure with a great bike-also whouldt like to have such a trip, but is impossible-to far away (I ride a f650 too).

Greeting vom Bavaria-home of the BMWs.

    Dieter

  • Much respect:)),what repairs did you need,puncture?

  • No punctures on tubless Toruances for the whole trip, but I did have to replace the rear brake pads after the haul road due to the wet grit. Rear disc replacement when I got home. Did a 'cannister-ectomy' in Fairbanks along with a rear broken shock bolt replacement. Other than those items, the F650 ran like a champ and never let me down.

  • Great stuff, looks like you had a lot of fun!
