which fighting style is the most effectly for the street? I want to learn something but I dont know which is really the best and easyiest to defend myself if someone attacks me
Ju-Jutsu? Taekwondoe? Karate? Wing-Tsun? Kung-Fu? Judo? Kickboxing? Or is it in the end all on the same level?
the fact that you would call it useless shows how very little you know.
ill admit its not the "GREATEST THING EVER!!!!!" but its just solid basics that any beginning student should add to their arsenal
and I may not have as much experience as others, I have been training everyday or the last 10 years with a grand master. so while you may have more, I do have experience.
I have done everything from animal kung fu to MMA
and since this is so bad, what is your opinion on good martial arts?
if youve done mma for a few years you should see that this sort of unresisted training is useless, even if the techniques were good which they arent. Most styles have the potential to be effective if they only sparred more with contact ,all ranges. What will happen is theyll all look like mma in reality just scruffier.Individual styles ive studied include thai, olympic wrestling and bjj as those are sparring based, physically tough training without any oriental bullshit.
Jiu Jitsu is basicly a wrong transliteration of the kanji for jujutsu. aparantly the portugiese were responsible for that one. But nowadays JuJutsu is generally the name the german system uses, gracie jiu jitsu and the japanese use nihon jujutsu as the name. so in a sense you're right the gracies never said they do jujutsu and on the other hand you're wrong, they just mispell the transliteration, which doesn't stop from kicking my ass in a fight, most likely
all types of jujitsu fascinate me, its such a universal styile of combat. Im testing for my brown in bjj(Gracie Barra Jujitsu) in a few months, but i'd love to train in some more traditional jujitsu forms aswell.
i agree with you all, i hate that when you say the word jujutus everyone thinks bjj...bjj is bjj and jujutsu is jujutsu. nothing against bjj, its an integral part of goshin jutsu as well..groundwork that is. but i think its more like judo than jujutsu.
this ..i wouldnt call it 'original' ...search for koryu jujutsu...thats classical jujutsu! kata based.
Yes. You are right. But there are both ways of armbar on the shoulderin in this situation. In this case he could be going to proceed Ippon-zeoi (throw-down) and control the opponent on the ground.
but the gracies are good in what they do, and that is ground frighting and grappling. although it's probably more along the lines of the old kano ju jutsu, which became judo later on, but with modern techniques,
Well since they are the transliteration into Roman letters of the same kanji: Ju or Jiu -- suppleness, softness -- and Jutsu or Jitsu -- art, technique...
sounds like a kyokushin kai Derivative, anyone know what "zado," stands for?

Krav Maga is the best for streets, guns, choking, bats, knives, and just overall fighting is the strongest and quickest defenses and offenses.

well done, but the armbar over shoulder by 1:52, it´s on the false shoulder I guess
