i just bowled at this alley this past sunday for the pro am. love their lanes. i tried to bowl on the US OPEN pattern on lanes 75-80, wow, not easy. only struck twice in 6 balls. others pretty much missed pocket.

one question when Ronny Russell puts his fingers in his ball he puts his thumb in first and not his fingers why? My high school bowling coach always said to put my fingers in first. I also have fingertips.

he does it because its comfortable for him. tommy jones does it because he tore tendons in his hand at a younger age and he has to.

@vampire11367 Tommy Jones does this as well. It all revolves around the fact that they are trying to relieve tension from their fingers and wrist as they throw the ball. Thusly, they get their ball span drilled a tad shorter than what normally would be. ITs a different feel to the ball. Most players dont do that

Noooooo, please reconsider uploading PBA telecasts. The PBA needs to get a clue and make their programming free for viewing on their website like NBC, Comedy Central, etc. All they need to do is create a forced commercial system. This would actually make them more money than the $5.95 Xtra Frame bullshit. Think of it as forcing them to adapt to evolving technology :).

Thank you, djrickysmith. First class job. I understand the position of the PBA. It is a business, and I am sure the last thing anyone wants is to hurt the business. I believe the PBA tries to be reasonable as they see it. However, that said, in a way this demonstrates the difference between knowledge and wisdom. They should see the opportunity in the exposure they receive, and find a way to work with the fans, to the benefit.of everyone.

I'm a suscriber of Xtra-Frame.

Today I learned, that the pba told djrickysmith from youtube to stop uploading sundays telcasts.

I'm from XXX and could not find a different way to watch them.

Waiting about half a week for the telecast to be on Xtra-Frame is not acceptable for me.

There are 3 possibilities I would accept:

A: You revoke your email to djrickysmith so I can see this weeks telecast as usual

B: You tell me an acceptable way to watch your channel from XXX

C: You increase the quality of Xtra-Frame and put the telecasts up there within at least 24h hours after broadcasting on a regular basis or you stream them live

If nothing of this happens untill at least 22. March 2009 I will immediately abrogate my subscription.

Man, what a bummer. I don't get a chance to see the shows on Sunday, so you and Wolfman posting was perfect. I understand the business thing, but they have terrible quality, and it is a free country. I don't think that is good for the PBA, as less folks will have access now. I know I won't subscribe to the Xtra Frame, as the quality isn't worth it.

Thanks for all the uploads, too bad the PBA doesn't see the benefit of getting their shows out on Youtube also. The XtraFrame service the are selling has really poor video quality, and lots of other glitches. I tried it on the "free trial" basis, but its not worth paying even $6/month for. Maybe you and Wolf can put the shows up a few weeks late...

Really would like to say thank you so much for your great effort uploading these telecast, the only way I can see PBA my place is here. I had once subscribed the online telecast from PBA, but their quality really keep me away from that. With the advance of internet speed, they still keep the quality 5 to 6 years ago, which is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

I really hope that PBA people is reading this: please improve the quality of Xtra frame and you can earn all the big $!

While you and djrickysmith are just individuals, I'm sure the PBA can still take action against you. I didn't think this was going to last forever, anyway, since it's really "too good to be true" (I can't watch it here in Canada). I think what I'm going to do is upload the telecasts still, but I'll wait for Xtra Frame to have it up first, so that the people who are subscribed to it get their money's worth. That seems fair and hopefully I don't get the same email from them.

I mean, Xtra Frame IS a business, meaning the more people who watch youtube = less watching Xtra Frame, which = less money. But that doesn't count for the people over the world who can't see it on Xtra Frame. It's really stupid.

If he kept posting PBA shows, the PBA has the rights to ask youtube to take it down. So he has to leave, otherwise he's at risk of all of his videos being removed from the site. The PBA has been very nice allowing us to post these shows.

How unfortunate, I'm an avid bowler, unfortuantely, I work late nights, it's unfeasable for me to wake early to catch these shows. I do appreciate all the posts you have and can only pray that the PBA doesn't prey on Wolfman. If they realize, all us fans will move to a website run in Hong Kong or China in which the copywrite laws have no effect. Just let us enjoy the sport we love, trust me, I still eat Denny's, I'll get my lumber from Lumber Luiqidators. I don't plan to change.

JaHaDa89, I live in Finland and the same thing goes in here, no espn possibility. There's some great bowlers from both Finland and Sweden but in Finland we can see bowling on television perhaps only once or twice a year so this channel was like a dream come true to me. Bye bye PBA and Ricky Smith, it was so fun while it lasted. Can't thank you enough, the greatest channel, the greatest game ever. I am literally grief-stricken now :(

No...he was giving a shout out for the time Wolf and I put into this to help out the fans of the game. The PBA started to post the telecast on the Xtra frame service. So, they want you to subscribe to that. Understand, the PBA is a business, and I know whats going on here! Thats why they are giving it away for free this week.

I didn't get any emails saying such stuff. So I think I'll continue to upload the telecasts, but I think what I will do is wait until Xtra frame has it up before I upload every telecast so that it doesn't hurt the PBA as much I guess. If I do get an email though then I have to stop completely which would suck. I'd still post old shows and Candlepin shows though.

what I do every Sunday...BOWL....I really do bowl all day and night on Sundays..my day starts out at the lanes at 9am. I usually leave there between 1pm and 2pm... stop home and grab my computers to watch the telecast and drive off to another center and bowl until 10pm...

Like bowlerwannabes said I think the PBA would lose publicity if both of you didn't upload these. Not only would they lose fans from abroad but they would also lose fans w/o cable like me. And they have profited from me and my family by our going to their events. As to the xtraframe service, I wouldn't consider getting it because I don't want to have to pay to watch some grainy video. In fact I don't want to pay period when I could spend that money on a couple games of real bowling.
