Thanks pal, I like your video as well. Both of ours are reminiscent of Adam Thompson's official edit of Calibration. I wish I had uploaded my version where I sampled Maya Deren. You should look her up.
We need more jazz clubs playing this stuff in America. We need jazz clubs in America. Omar won't play his music here because he and Jazz are under-appreciated.
Is that true? Is that the reason why he plays in Europe so much? This album is soo cool by the way! I really like it he gave the songs Dutch titles, finally i know what he means! regenbogen stelen van prostituees!!! :D
I'm having a hard time finding it myself, it was not released by GSL. Anyway, the name of the album is Omar Rodriguez and the name of the song is "Regenbogen Stelen Van prostituees". Good luck finding it.
His stuff sounds so much like King Crimson. I don't know if he does it on purpose or accidentally, but he rips them off. It still sounds great though, but it reminds me so much of King Crimson.
at the drive-in, defacto, the mars Volta are my three favorite bands. I think Omars solo stuff sounds great its kind of like santana but on more doses
I love Omar Alfredo Rodriguez Lopez, i wish i'd every single pedal he use, if you see a video of ATDI or Mars Volta you can watch he have like 5 and a multi
very nice. i always wondered what stealing rainbows from prostitutes would look like. i only wish more of the movements were tied with the music, if you get what i'm saying.
Like the sperm entering the egg- that was somehow grounded in "reality" and it caught the eye. Also stuff like that gives the video an edge- is it about rebirth, new life, people like asking questions- maybe try having more familiar objects just so the viewer doesn't get completely lost. But then considering the music, maybe you do want the viewer to get lost? Haha. Good job though, it's engaging.
I like the kaleidoscope (sp?) effect... What software did you use? There were some really neat visuals- the only advice I can give (and I'm a beginner, so don't take it seriously if you don't want!) is to maybe tone down the effects just a notch...
Because the visuals really are stunning- and do a great job coinciding with the music, its just when the viewer is bombarded with that constantly it gets old fast. And there are so many people experimenting with this stuff, so sometimes less is more
So nobody likes the video? Or nobody cares. As this is youtube a video site and not pandora (a music site) I assumed you would comment on the video. I just like criticism about what I've made, I already know Omar is the shit. I want to know if I suck or if this high school video is the least bit entertaining.
man, i dig the video. really cool, for sure. works well with the music in that the music is experimental and insane; the video also is experimental, insane and doesnt follow one main focus (as in, doesnt have any characters or story line) it backs the music nicely. good work.
THIS IS POWER LATIN!!!!!!!!

Many serious music critics compare the Omar´s style of playing guitar with Fripp´s style... so you are not wrong...
