  • This guy was all kinds of awesome awesome. I'm an admirer of Ignatieff's writings, but I can see why y'all voted for this chap. Much love from the UK in Not-So-Nova Scotia.

  • fraud, hack

Subsidized housing for 11 years Jack?! and your salary was HOW fat?? i'm outraged by this. Living in subsized housing for 11 years with Olivia Chow, when an actualy poor person could've had that home. YOU SUCK JACK! Liar!

Supporting the invasion of Libya??!?!? what were you thinking, the liberals were outraged by that!

  • @Freethinker12341 Anyone who didn't support providing air support for the Libyan rebels isn't a liberal worthy of the name.

  • @Faboba I support the American occupation of Libya since its THEIR war. I don't see why Canada needs to be involved. Spending billions and billions on fighter jets. How much help do we expect to offer? lol I mean the Americans send 90 000 troops to Afghanistan, Canada sent a few thousand. The cost of it isn't worth the small proportion of help that we expect to offer. As for the NDP, leftists are usually anti war because sometimes they secretly sympathize with the other side.

  • How about "Rent Control" of the apartment buildings, and other establishments? Landlords and Landladies are so greedy of money! Every year they increase the rent!

  • @gabriel38974 How about thats retarded?

  • As a Brit living in this great nation, I`m very impressed with the humanity of politctions over here, even PM Harper! Further, Jack Layton always impressed me, he`ll be missed by his party and by the country too! this impressed me greatly! You`d never get this in the UK House of Commons!

  • tears in my eyes from laughter. man, amazing! wow, thanks for posting that.

  • Maybe he's not dead

  • Wow, Jack really had a sense of humour... He was willing to laugh at himself. That shows a strength of character.

  • Why in the fuck did this man die ?

  • @Shouzeegestof Cancer.

  • Love is Funnness Music GREAT Guy R.I.P All the BEST !! Really Love HIM!!:)_

  • The NDP is not a party for the little guy, it is a party for big unions period.

  • @justanoldman1 Let me turn your phrase around: "Conservatives are not a party for the little guy, it is a party for big BUSINESS period". So, what's your point justanoldman...? That different parties represent different interests? Well, duh! But the NDP support a more equal society. Conservatives do not.

  • @yirphd Look at what the NDP did furing the postal strike, they stood up for the big union, not all the Canadians that nneded their mail delivered.

NDP is only for big unions and does not give a shit about the little guy at all.

The conservatives try to help all people, not only the unionized ones like the NDP.

  • @justanoldman1 You could just as easily blame Canada Post for not providing adequate conditions. Unions are there to give ordinary people a voice. The whole point of conservatism is to preserve the existing inequality in society. The rich stay rich and get richer. The poor stay poor and get poorer. That's bad for society. Yet, conservatives like to pretend that rich people and big business are all a bunch of Santa Clauses and that their wealth will "trickle down" to the masses. It's a big lie.

  • @yirphd The conservative party of Canada is not a conservative party, it is like the liberals were in the 1990's, just right of center. I wish we did have a real conservative party becuase as of now, all of our political parties are a little left of center and slipping more all the time.

The NDP is just a little right of communism but not very far from it. If they had their way, the government would own all the business and everyone in Canada would be a union member, Cuba north.

  • @justanoldman1 Ahh, so I am talking to a "tea partier", am I? You people are nearly impossible to reason with. You couldn't be more wrong about the NDP's intentions - but I don't think I'll waste my time with you any further.

  • @yirphd Where there is no sense, there are no conservatives.

  • @justanoldman1 So we're down to bumper-sticker non-sequiturs, are we? Answer me this one question: would you like to work for minimum wage?

  • @yirphd I have worked for minimum wage often. I retired when I was 45 years old and have done many different jobs since. I have shoveled shit at a dairy farm, drove a school bus, sold cars and RV's. done night guard work and the list goes on. When I felt like working, there was always work to be found. I have been offered work several times at out local Home Depot but I am too old to work now, but I still do 2 days a week at our local outreach program for seniors. So yes I would work for min.

  • @justanoldman1 Interesting post, justanoldman, and thanks for the civil tone. I have also worked many minimum wage jobs in the past (mostly during my student days). The problem I have with the tories is that they do not keep the wage on par with the cost of living. How should a person buy a house and raise a family on minimum wage? Unions give people a "living wage". Had you been in unionised professions, you would have made more money. I don't understand why you demonize unions.

  • @yirphd OK, I willl tell you why, Blue Belle, Westinghouse, Mitel, Hirschies are just a few companies that have closed their doors and moved to other countries because the unions would not take a 10% cut in salaries to allow the companies to stay here. Time after time you see this kind of thing happening. The unions don't seem to understand that in some cases their high demands just kills the money making chances for the company and they say fuck it and leave to greener pastures.

  • @justanoldman1 Well, you have given me excellent examples of why free trade and globalization have totally screwed us over. Who can compete with people living in a 3rd world country who can work for 10 cents an hour? It's the companies who are being greedy and showing cruelty to the local communities that they leave. Why do you want to blame everything on the unions? In your minds, companies are the saints and workers (workers = unions) are the devils. I can't understand why.

  • @yirphd The goverment can't stop business from moving except by giving them lower taxes and better conditions to stay here. The unions don't seem to give a shit about keeping business they just keep demanding more and more and hammering more nails in the coffin.

The federal government has been lowing corporate taxes and doing their best to help business stay here and come here. That is way I am a conservative and not a country destroying NDPer, we need lower taxes and better conditions now.

  • @justanoldman1 There's only one thing that lowering corporate taxes accomplishes: massive transfer of wealth to the wealthy. You think business are angels and unions are devils. That's simplistic, isn't it? Plus, you never answered my earlier questions. I fully support govt helping small business... but Harper is in it for the big guys and he's screwing over small business too.

  • @yirphd See you are a socialist and there is nothing I could say that would change your mind. Unless we give companies a happy setting that they like, they wont set up shop here period, so do whatever they want so there a jobs for our people, it is that simple.

The lower of corporate taxes help the little guy just as much as it helps the big guy, you just hate Prime Minister Harper and will always say things against him no matter what he does, a true socialist and union member.

  • @justanoldman1 I'm a social democrat. I believe in a fair society. You are a conservative. You believe that it's okay to have massive inequality in society. You call me names (I'm not a union member) and yet you refuse to answer any of my questions! C'mon, let's have some real debate.

  • @yirphd I want smaller goverment and their lowered involvement into my life and business period.

There is a massive inequality in society but some of it is because we have a generation of lazy bums that just do not want to work. I see it at home when we go shopping, the local kids will not return a shopping cart to collect the quarter, they are too lazy. You can not find a kid to mow your lawn for $10.00, they want $50.00. You see more and more seniors at the fast food resturants, less kids.

  • @justanoldman1 A smaller government is simply not going to accomplish what you want it to. It will just increase the crime rate massively.

  • @yirphd All the new laws that are passed every year restict our freedoms more and more. do up your seat belt or pay $175. , wear a helmet or pay $?, get a permit for your old shotgun and pay $45. Every year they add more and more things to generate more money and stick their nose's into our business more and more. You need a permit to cut down a tree on your own property another $45. You need a permit to put in a little above ground pool, another $45. The NDP are the worst for these.

  • @justanoldman1 In my experience, tory governments have had similar fines at similar high costs. I can't see what's wrong with those things. Seat belts are for safety. Helmets are for safety. Guns are dangerous and should be regulated. Trees shouldn't be cut down by any nut with a chainsaw just because they don't like them. The pool I can't say. Sure, paperwork can be streamlined, but that's bureaucracy and it exists everywhere. Lack of government = anarchy, and surely that's not what you want.

  • @yirphd Sure sure but every year they add more and more stuff and take away more and more personal freedoms. I am in my seventies and I can remember when I was younger how free we were and the goverment did not stick it's nose in our personal lives. The government that interfers the least is the conservatives, the one that does the most are the NDPers and thinkers like you that think they know best for all the good reasons but we are overloaded with regulations and rules and work for them.

  • @justanoldman1 Rules and regulations just tend to accumulate over time. I'm sure it was freer back in the day - but it was also more innocent time, with fewer people around. In my opinion, conservatives give too much free reign for big business to screw over the little guy. Yes, the left demonizes the business world sometimes and that is equally wrong to you demonizing the workers. In reality, there are greedy people in every walk of life. There are generous people in every walk of life too.

  • @yirphd I have had my share of running a small business and I can tell you the worst goverment is the NDP because the first thing they want you to ldo is unionize it. If you do that, you are out of business overnight.

All governments add a work load to business but the NDP were the worst, they keep picking and picking until you say fuck it, it is just not worth the effort. I have closed a couple of small business because of the excessive paper work forced on you by government.

  • @justanoldman1 You closed a small business because you didn't like paperwork? You want to blame the NDP for everything, but I'm sure it wasn't 100% of the reason. So, businesses need to pay their fair share. What's wrong with that? Tories are worse for small business because they cause too much concentration in the market, where big guys out-compete the little businesses and cause them to go bankrupt. All businesses should be given a fair chance just like workers should be given a fair chance.

  • @yirphd When you and your wife are running a small business, just the two of you and the government generates so much paper work for you to do that you have to hire a full time person to do it, the returns are that person makes more money than the two of you do so what is the point, we might as well work for someone else for minimum wage and make the same with fewer hours.

We had an NDP government in B.C. and they added more and more crap for us to do all the time. I hate them.

  • @justanoldman1 I find it hard to believe that there was 40 hours of paperwork. Why couldn't you fill it out yourself?

  • @yirphd They want to know where you buy your products, what you paid and what you sold it at. They want monthly reports on sales along with your sale taxes. At the same time the local city government is there telling you that you need to put in 3 toilets, i mens, 1 womens and 1 handicaped. Then they come to make you put in emergency lighting and more exits and more fire protection that has to be reinspected every year and of couse you get the bill. Then the insurance wants alarms installed.

  • @justanoldman1 Yes, all of those regulations are to mitigate against criminality and corruption! It's the criminals and crooked wheeler-dealers who have caused that. You can't blame the NDP for that. You, as an honest ex-businessman, suffered for it and I'm sorry to hear it. That's why corporate crime needs to be pursued just as vigorously as other types of crime. And yes, unions and people on welfare need to be policed also.

  • @yirphd Well I have had enough typing for now, my hands are getting tired. I know you mean well but can't you see that you can be so politiclly correct that you are wrong. Pass laws to cover every possible situation and the crooks will still find a way around them. Every child wins now, no ones loses. no one fails at school they are pushed on and the result is our country suffers from stupidity and lack of drive for sucess. Kids that still can't read or write in high school.

  • @justanoldman1 Yes it was fun debating with you, but I need to go. I agree that crooks always find the way around rules... but that's not a reason to have no rules! Should you legalize murder because some people get away with it? I know that you also mean well... but we look at things in a different way. Talk later...

  • @yirphd There have been jkso many companies that have left Canada and the USA because of our high wage demands that we hardly have any manufactureing left in our countries any more, everything has gone off shore for lower wages. Our only jobs are with government and self service industries like resturants etc.

The big unions are responsible for the move of these industries because of their stupidly high demands. I even know one union asked for birthdays off. Our loses are all by unions.

  • @justanoldman1 So, we're all supposed to be happy in a country where 95% of people are on minimum wage and 5% of people are super-rich... and we admire them? That is the direction the tories are taking the country in. The conservatives hate unions because they get in the way of the rich getting richer. My friend, you have been voting tory for all the wrong reasons.

  • @yirphd Companies have one responsibility to their share owners, make money!.

If they can make more by moving to Mexico, you can not blame them. The world is going into a big global economy and there is nothing we can do to stop it. People are not willing to pay twice the price for goods made in Canada matter of fact they are more than willing to travel to the states to shop to save just a few dollars and the hell with local business. These are the facts and the goverment must help business.

  • @justanoldman1 If companies have no other obligations than to maximize their income for shareholders, then it is highly immoral and makes the world far worse off. Sure, the world is a brutal place full of greed and cruelty... but you are happy with that aren't you? Conservatives are happy with that, as long they can share in the winnings. But so many people get left behind. Doesn't that bother you at all?

  • He's got a good voice and can play the guitar pretty well.

    Anything he COULDN'T do?

Just picture Stephen Harper up there.

    Impossible, ain't it?

  • this is how i will always remember you, jack! thank you for your service!

  • That fuckin pig harper with the mindset of a 4 year old will never compare to the legendary Jack Layton...... R.I.P

  • Amazing! Just think what we'll miss without him as leader of the opp. So sad...

(BTW, that's Mike Ford of Moxy Fruvous playing with him.)

  • Just back from visiting Canada...sorry for your loss. Andy

  • /watch?v=0UFq1HJPsac&feature=related

  • "You all give me the screamin' shits" ... Layton is legendary, RIP.

  • This is a hit song

  • I had never seen this. How utterly refreshing. We need more men like Jack Layton – human, honest, compassionate and charming. He loved his country and served with integrity and distinction. We need more men like him in all parties.

  • Jack Layton, one of our few hopes. Let's keep our heads up for Jack and for ourselves.

  • What a wonderful man! RIP bonJack

  • Merci Jack! Et on lâche pas tout le monde!

  • We will always remember you Jack, I live in Quebec , and you have conquered the heart of all of ours , you are a model of courage and determination and you are so real , we have lost * un bon Jack * .

  • maybe too much chemo - and RADIATION - I wonder - I wonder....

  • Sincere and light hearted.

  • damn it, why him :(

  • <3 Jack

  • we miss you Jack. Thank you for everything

  • what a wonderful man he was..........as a lifelong conservative, I usually didn't have much time for other leaders, but Jack Layton was different. He was a true Canadian hero, may he rest in peace...........good bye Mr. Layton

  • ....WHY is a tim hudak video being promoted next to this?! BLASPHEMY

  • always remembered you will be missed dearly Rest brother And I don't even like polititions but you were one of a kind May your family be comforted in thier time of stress

  • I admired the hell out of this man and still do admire his grit drive and accomplishments. I loved that he could tease himself too :D

  • Jack is and always will be my Canadian Prophet. He is a pure moral compass and guiding light. "What Would Jack Do" is a question I will continually ask myself through the most controversial issues yet to come for the rest of my life.

All of us admired and loved him so much, I cannot begin to fathom the sorrow his family must be feeling at a time like this. I send all my Love, Hope and Optimism to them in this difficult time and know truth will win.

We love you Jack and thank you for so much.

  • "My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world."

    - Jack Layton

    May he rest in peace.

  • We need someone to keep Harper's feet to the fire, Jack was good at it and will be missed....RIP

  • Jack was Canada's father! </3

  • Too bad that I haven't got the chance to vote for you.. RIP JACK LAYTON!

  • Today we've lost a true visionary. Jack Layton brought a sense of dignity and gravitas to Ottawa that has been sorely lacking these many years. He was a true Parliamentarian and a True Canadian. Even as he fought his greatest fight, he put country first. If that isn't the mark of a Great Canadian, I don't know what is. His race is done, but the cause he championed goes on.

  • I miss him already :(

  • A man who could take a joke and deliver one! Well, hell he showed them in 2011, and we will carry on in his memory!

  • Jack Layton = The Best. Rest in Peace.

  • RIP Jack. we love and miss you. Thank you for all you have done for Canadians of every status.

  • Gone too soon :-(

  • The more I look into his life, the more impressed I get. He will be missed.

  • @youtubasoarus agreed. not an NDP supporter myself, but i think the guy was great.

  • Jack was our generation's Laurier. Great man. Hero.

  • What a shame that I won't have a chance to vote for you any more...

  • RIP...

  • RIP JACK! :(

  • The politician of our generation. You are no longer with us, but your legacy, your drive and your love for Canada remains. Jack Layton, man of the people, le Bon Jack, rest in peace. Above all, thank you for enriching our lives and protecting our values.

  • watching this still puts a smile on my face,

rest in peace Jack Layton, kindest politician ever.

  • Jack, you will be very sorely missed in the realm of Canadian politics. Regardless of one's political views, you were a charismatic, honest man who wanted a better country for us all. You will be missed, but more importantly, you will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace.

  • Not only have we lot a great Canadian leader, but we've lost a great Canadian. No matter what your political views are, we can all agree that his man had great strength, courage and a vision of an equal and united Canada. RIP Jack Layton, we hope your legacy lives on.

  • @aayh86

    Well said, well said.

I myself was one of the people who left a get well message on the NDP website. When I was very young, I was visited by him and Olivia in the hospital and given a Christmas gift. :)

I believe Jack was a genuine good-hearted person who's left our country with a great legacy.

  • @alietratik me as well :( very sad day

  • RIP, first person I ever voted for.

  • Cannabis (Cannabinoids) cures ... Cancer!

  • Vote NDP its your only hope out of poverty.

  • @justanoldman1 ur a fucking troll....

  • Comment removed

  • @justanoldman1 troll, go away you conservative asshole....go steal some money from poor people

  • @kingrexrex666 That is the job of the big unions you stupid cunt.

  • @justanoldman1 ur a typical angry repressed conservative.....

  • Jack Layton and his lovely (... sarcasm) wife Olivia have moved into a 34 room mansion in Ottawa.

Yeah, a man for the people. the average worker.

    What a load of crap.

  • Comment removed

  • @cheeriosinabowl He will ensure there is an increase in jobs....At the local message parlour, where every ending is a happy ending.......

  • @russfromdodge

.... yep, that's about it. Layton is just another sleezy politician. WE work for THEM.

  • @cheeriosinabowl lol, he always wears the nicest suit in the house of commons. i really don't know what his agenda is exactly...

  • @raycharest1 i dont think the NDP will necessarily do that, what I'm more afraid of is them raising coorporate taxes to pay for silly things like creating a ferry boat between Alymer and Kanata. To be part of the NDP you must be a non-thinking person. Do they not realize that its businesses that create jobs!? when you raise taxes too much, businesses won't thrive and unemployment rates will sky rocket.

  • What a joke of a leader. He has been hampering back to work legislation for Canada Post and making a mockery of Parliament. Next Prime Minister? Worst thing for Canada ever if that happens. He should go back to that massage parlor where he was being massaged by the under aged exploited Chinese girl. Canadians vote for anyone but the NDP. Do you know what NDP really stands for? Nothing Done Properly!!!

  • it was the NDP (CCF back in the day) that brought free health care to canada

  • i just dont understand why people support the NDP. i'm a pretty open minded guy but I just cant seem to see eye to eye with them.

  • @Freethinker12341 Canadians are unique in all the regions; if we were all the same it'd sure be boring so no one expects you to think the same. =) Be unique and if you're willing; I'm personally willing as an NDP'er to listen to what you think needs to be done as an open minded fellow. The door is open and you're welcome to move our democracy forward. =D

  • @Squeaks90 okay, sounds good :P if theres one thing that i care about its just a garauntee that i'll be able to find a job ok. as a student, i'm mostly concerned with that. that, as well as tuition fees, they're far too high i think. subsidized public transportation would be nice as well. honestly though, a lot of the NDP policies sound great, particularly the environmental stuff.

  • @Squeaks90 i'm just a bit concerned with how all this great stuff is going to be paid for though. I mean we can tax people to death all we want, but if business isn't thriving and booming people will lose jobs. that's why i'm more of a liberal. their policies just seem more realistic.

  • @Squeaks90 well are you going to respond?

  • @Freethinker12341 NDP wants to lower small business taxes to help them make ends meet. NDP wants to raise but keep the corporate tax rate competitive under the Americans. The NDP also wants to take your taxes off things like, home heating!

The Canadian Department of Finance has a un-partisan report tabled, showing the NDP has the best record of balancing budgets when in power.

The NDP also wants to get the primary producers and manufactuers working hand in hand not head to head.

  • @Squeaks90 cool. but will the ordinary student be able to find a job? i'm interested to see the NDP in power because im a little bit tired of the other parties. im just concerned. how does helping small business help the whole?

  • @Freethinker12341 Well helping small businesses is the best thing we can do because they normally are the types of jobs to hire young student folk! With NDP in power, businesses would get a tax credit for new hires and a bonus if that person stays with them. So automatically there is insentive for people to hire, keep and sustain more employees. The NDP upholds the minimum wage. NDP is also commited to lowering the 'damn' tuition fees to help everyone get an education at any age for any reason.

  • @Squeaks90 business* eh~!

  • @Squeaks90 ohh i c, makes sense!

  • @Squeaks90 Bullshit, the NDP support only the big unions and they don't give a fuck about anyone else.

  • @justanoldman1 that's absolutely true, a crucial element of marxism is to eliminate the middle class and the elite, (or at least bring them down to the level of the working class). although, i wouldn't say that jack layton is a real "socialist" or "marxist" but he definitely has tendencies

  • he wont be singing this for at least 4 years

  • @jonnoble53 Ahaha, so true~!

  • Ejakulayton!

  • This is awesome.. lol

  • I like how you fuckheads say Harper didn't call an election. You may be techniquely right but let's review reality. They had a budget they knew would be defeated so what did they do?Lets see,do any of you dumb cunts remember all the campaign commercials the neo-cons started running well before an election was called?look at it this way dummies, if I sucker punch you before I ask if you want to fight can I lay claim to not starting the fight?

  • I'd like to start off saying that I voted N.D.P. Having said that I wonder if they hadn't focused so much on Quebec would Harper have won a majority. The N.D.P's success doesn't matter one little bit to me at this point Harper having a majority is a tragedy and if you're responsable Jack ,well, go fuck yourself!!!

  • @kevindlinc How did the NDP focus on Quebec? If anything it's their success in Quebec that shook things up for them in Ontario.

  • haha that was surprisingly funny

  • Jack did as well as he did for one reason and one reason only. Quebec separatists went loony left instead day dream treason. So for the next 4 years Ole Taliban Jack will have to at every opportunity say Quebec needs to have its cake and eat it to while everybody else pays the bills. If he doesn't they will turn on him in 4 years and the NDP will return to the leftie whining party it is.

  • this guy cracks me up, at least he has guts to make fun of himself :D

  • Comment removed

  • @Freethinker12341

you have your opinion i have mine.

be a free thinker all you want, just because you talk dosen't mean i care.

    enjoy.

  • @ckrm55 yes, i do have the right to say whatever i want, and i exercise that right to inspire intellectual discussion about an unjust political party. you have the right to listen to me, you also have the right to ignore me. i'd prefer if you listened though, (for your sake), because i might say something that may completely shift your political views, and what could be more enlightening than that. I presume you care about truth over fiction? ....so lets chat, lets agree, lets disagree

  • @ckrm55 well?

  • crackerjack obviously cant read that this was 2005, moooooorrrrrrrrrrrooooooonnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @costy99

what's the year got to do with it...? it's about Canadian politics... and i'm pulling back the curtain on the Ottawa political circus... and poke fun at your heroes... you're just jealous because you have nothing to say... except to call people names...

  • Tarnation...! Jack's Whack Shack...?! in ChinaTown...? but people getting a massage often get naked and wear a towel... obviously these whiners don't know very much... however... good ol' Jack is certainly in deep with the Chinese... i can't vote for him... and i can't vote for the others either... the conservatives are really Preston Manning's Bad Alberta Reform Party... (BARF)... and the liberals should all be in jail... and the green party is run by an American Woman... does it ever end...?

  • and i can't vote for the Block because they only run in Quebec... (unlike Quebec Anglos who only run out of Quebec...) Canadian politicians are like a bunch of pompous, annoying, quacking ducks and cawing crows who never leave... what was the name of that parlour - Ho Ho Mi Com Now...? Rub-a-Dub Hug 'n' Tug...?

  • judging by the size of my tax payments - i think i'm over-represented... i'd gladly do without all the representation if it reduced what i to pay Ottawa... we have 1/10th the population of America but twice as many political parties... and Jack's singing away while we're all drowning here... and Iggy's back in Canada 'cuz he couldn't get tenure... and Steve's trying to bankrupt the country with annual elections... he keeps rollin' the dice 'til he gets a majority... we don't need a majority...

  • @CrackerJackLee Hey idiot - this election was NOT Harper's idea. You can blame the commies and the frogs.

  • @penrhos48

LOL! partizan... did i hurt your feelings...? you mention commies and frogs... so... what do you call Harper's gang...? or do you only save your venom for people who don't agree with you...

  • @penrhos48 here you are in here calling people names again ..you just got done crying about me calling you names and here you are what a moron you must to to take like this.go fuck your hat.

  • @alltiedup217 I gave my hat to Jack - he fucked it because he thought it was part of his "rub & tug" therapy session...... And if I was married to Olivia Chow - I'd probably fuck a hat too!

  • @CrackerJackLee Harper didnt call the election, he hasnt called one of them since he was first elected. That is what he has complained about more than anything. I dont think he has made one media appearance without saying it. Shows how much you know.

  • @ptangboy

all he has to do is reach a consensus with the other parties... i'm not partizan... all of these politicians represent Canadians... people like you believe that only the majority party counts... Harper has played the political game at taxpayers expense... just as they all have... jousting egos... trying for his majority... we don't NEED a majority government... make them work together... people like you can't see beyond that... you need a majority - then they do as they please...

  • @CrackerJackLee assuming again I see... you just dont learn.

  • jack layton doesn't understand the economy, hows does he plan to pay for all this stuff?? we're going to lose all our jobs!

  • @Freethinker12341 We're going to stop the Liberals from giving their cronies a share, we'll cut the Conservative corporate welfare and abolish the over stuffed senate.

  • @Squeaks90

you're right... but you forget the Bob Rae NDP government in Ontario that bankrupted the province...

  • @CrackerJackLee Haha well I'm willing to say it's the politician not the platform! He's a big time Liberal now.

New Democrats also have the best record of balancing budgets when in power according to the department of finance.

  • @Squeaks90

watch it... Jack has taken the place of the Fiberals... Preston Manning's gang has taken the place of the Tories... it's all smoke and mirrors now... Canadians don't even realize that they are voting for things completely different from their disguise... and now Jack has to cater to Quebec... see how much you all like that... Jack has also replaced the BLOC... imagine that... will he support Quebec if it votes yes in a referendum...?

  • @generalhandgrenade01 do your research, please.

  • As City Councillors each making $100,000 Layton & Chow registered as her mother (an unemployed immigrant) & lived fraudulently public housing while taking $200,000 yearly from taxpayers. In 2010 they spent over $1.16 million on travel and office expenses. Layton said most was for travel to Toronto constituents- that's $20,000 a week. Toronto is 300 miles from Ottawa. Unsurprising Layton doesn't see a difference between therapy and prostitution, he's been screwing taxpayers for years.
