I have to say the troopers I've known have been fantastic men to say the least and do their jobs extremely well but let's also remember that there are Village Public Safety Officers in alot of these villages as well that do their jobs without a gun and are the front line in the bush communities when it comes to law enforcement. The troopers rely on them as well. So lets' give credit where credit is due. The troopers are not alone in bush country.
Stopped in Bethel on the way to Air Force remote assignment in mid-80's. Grabbed a twin otter for hop to Cape Newenham. What a desolate place. From the air it looks like nothing's there until you're right on top of it. But, really enjoyed my year in the Bush. Wish I could afford to go back.

Very interesting show. I like the philosophy of these troopers. I live in a big city and the cops here can be abusive and arrogant because they know that a lot of help is just a minute away if they need it. I wish all cops acted like the ones on this show and treated people with respect.

I have to say the troopers I've known have been fantastic men to say the least and do their jobs extremely well but let's also remember that there are Village Public Safety Officers in alot of these villages as well that do their jobs without a gun and are the front line in the bush communities when it comes to law enforcement. The troopers rely on them as well. So lets' give credit where credit is due. The troopers are not alone in bush country.

Stopped in Bethel on the way to Air Force remote assignment in mid-80's. Grabbed a twin otter for hop to Cape Newenham. What a desolate place. From the air it looks like nothing's there until you're right on top of it. But, really enjoyed my year in the Bush. Wish I could afford to go back.

Thank you to all the troopers here, they do an amazing job. I hope that they show episodes out of the Bush too. Like we have a lot of stuff that happens out on the Seward Hwy and The Glenn Hwy with the Troopers. I am so glad they finally made a cop show about hwere we live, my husband and I love watching these shows. He was actually thinking of being a Trooper at one point.

If you look at a map of where Bethel and these other villages are, you will see that they are VERY remote.
The parts of the state that are connected by road system are relatively peaceful, excluding Anchorage.
