shinies appear less than 1% of the time. 1/8192 so I think that's .012%. But very cool shinies. I'm still SRing for shiny Charmander (6,350 SRs).

sorry you're confused. the only pokemon that you can find the 1% of times is the ?-Unown because the 99% of times you'll find the A-Unown and, if you look closer my ?-Unown is black and its shiny form is blue. Good luck with your shiny charmander hunt

thanks i was bord of chaing so i poped in my fire red and tried for like a hour the i got my slighty diffrent colured chaarmander and the i saw the star i was like omg and phone my friend i was freaking out beacase i thought i would take like 100000000 sr's

@shinycollector7 - I herd a rumor that you can get a shiny pokemon if you breed a ditto with a pokemon from a foreign country. I'm in the middle of testing that rumor for myself, so I will give you an update when the egg hatches.

@ThePokemonfan365 It's not a rumor - it's called the Masuda Method. If you breed two different nationality Pokemon, i.e. Japanase and English, you increase the shiny odds from 1/8192 to 1/2048
