  • Hey! I was thinking about doing this but i don't want to make my hair wavy just a little softer or to have a more defined curl any tips?

  • that shit is so sexy

  • yeah but you didnt explain how it got that way. cause i get out the shower and my hair is like that but than when it dries it dont look like that lol. so what did you do to keep it that way. i think you mentioned in another vid olive oil. but im sure you just didnt douse it on and its not the cooking olive oil right?!? it cant be!?!

  • i always try to wear my hair like that but it always gets knotty. how do u keep it from getting knotty?

  • @emilymitchelfan taren916, ivycharlaine, and celdrea are good gurus for curly hair tips...

  • whats heat trained hair? lol sorry my unfamiliar with the term :S

  • THAT IS WEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE

  • @ShanePatreceRobin her hair is versatile, soft, and obviously manageable making it 'good'.

  • of course she can wear her hair natural like that cus she has good hair . other black people's hair is too kinky to do that. not to be ignorant but let's be honest -_-

  • @rochelleolivia Define "good" hair though.. Isn't hair just hair? It's how people embrace it that determines whether it's good or not, hence the reason why most black people with kinky hair get perms, and others with a softer texture are glorified. Black people don't understand that Black hair comes in all different textures. We need to appreciate that.

  • @ShanePatreceRobin I agree.

  • @rochelleolivia About 4 monts ago I started using heat on my natural hair. Before this, my hair was HARD NAPPY and SHRUNK so close to my scalp, looked pretty much like the top of a microphone. Fast forward 4 months later (right now) after using a blow dyer and flat iron every week, my hair is a curly fro. (Think Will Smith's son Jaden). I suspect after another year or so, it'll loosen even more, which is probably what happened with hers. Best Believe Heat can Change Your Texture!

  • If going natural means having long thick behind hair like that, I'M GAME!!! I've stopped using relaxers so I can grow my hair. So far it is growing and my current length is touching the bottom of my neck. I want to grow it past my shoulders, plus I want to grow my bangs out. I cut my bangs to make bangs, they were at my eyebrows, now past my nose. Maybe I should do a hair journey video.

  • You can not get this look if your Afro-Black. This girl has to have a mixed parent or someone close in her family that mixed. She's Black but she also has someone like a grandparent or parent that's mixed. Don't lie honey.

  • @AmberSumer : that's an ignorant ass comment. you don't have to be mixed with anything to have long natural hair, reguardless of texture. maybe if you did you're research you'd know that almost all naturals have a curl pattern and yes an ''afro-black'' woman can have long curly hair. dumb ass.

  • @AmberSumer you can. My cousins hair texture is just like that, and some even softer. Its just genes, not necessarily race alone. Black people wether mixed or not have different textures. I have no white in my family, but my sister's hair looks like that, and mine is compleeeeetly oppostie. So don't call her a liar unless you are related to her and know that for a fact..

  • Most black girls definitely do not get this look when their hair is natural. Me and most of the black girls I know have a 4B hair pattern, which looks nothing like your light, curly pattern. Ours is more of just an afro. If I had your hair type, would I be getting relaxers? Absolutely not, and I think most black girls would agree.

  • niceee !

  • Some of these comments have to be from kids because no adult would make such stupid remarks. Your hair is beautiful!!

  • @eloiseful sadly enough adults make worse comments than children.

  • @eloiseful its mostly kids. I agree. My sister said the same thing. 10 yr old to 15yr old kids who have nothing better to do than be disrespectful..

  • @jamilsuriel Sick, homoerotic, white crakkka caveman fetishizing FUCK! Stay the fuck away from us, HONKKKEY, or else if you are black, SET AN EXAMPLE BY RESPECTING YOUR WOMYN INSTEAD OF DEGRADING US BY DEHUMANIZING US SEXUALLY WITH SEX USED AS THE WEAPON OF CHOICE!

  • @HappyHooker83 yo nappy ass

  • @jamilsuriel Yeah, I know WETBACK! Now go back to mowing my lawn, you low paid, inferior species, recessive trait bitch!

  • yeah this could just be her natural curl, or it could be heat trained. My sister had, ya know, your usually afro hair, and then she started straightening her hair and its starting to look like this, especially when its wet.

  • when will everyone just get it through their head that basically all African Americans are mixed somewhere down the line. Some us just genetically show it more than others! not including the African exchange student, or the immigrant that just walked in, he "might" be purer. but all in all, black people from Florida to New york to La, you all mixed up with more stuff then you'll ever know. This is why black people of every shade have every type of hair. Point is- This argument makes no sense!!

  • @kaylasopinionpost: Well that's true but you als have to remember. The are Africans that have straight or wavy and that they come in many colors as well.

  • @psylocke77

Yes that's true. Though I would point out that some Africans also have different racial heritage. East Africans, sandwiched between the North where they are mainly Arab and the South/Central where they are black have characteristics of both. Buy you are right in that we're not all the same.

  • I'm not really "mixed" but my hair looks like this wen I wash it, just not as long:( I wish my hair was longer....well back to what I was sayin. I'm black white puerto rican native american and asian(yeah every thing pretty much lol) but when it dries I can never make it...not frizzy...how do u do it?

  • i'm jealous of your length … we have similar types, but mine isn't there yet with the length (cut it in october 2010, due to an…accident…lol…long story), ugh i can't wait to have my hair back. thanks for the inspiration ^_^

  • hows ur hair curly if ur not mixed??

  • @KirklandsKnowBest She doesnt get relaxers...

  • @rearea718 so if i stop getting relaxers my hair will go curly?...=)

  • @KirklandsKnowBest o lord! you don't have to be mixed race to have a curly hair texture! hair textures is a very individual thing not necessarily isolated to one race e.g. white people can have straight, wavy or curly hair and black people can have kinky or curly hair just depends

  • why all the negativity so what if her hair is heat trained it prob looks bettr than all the ppl pointing fingers at her&plus shes been natural all her life,I relaxed my hair for the 1st time in 2008 but before that iwas completely natural and back then not too many ppl were natural and ppl used to always say how "bad" my hair was and how i needed a perm. now tht im relaxed the same ppl r saying how ineed to embrace my natural texture&stop relaxing -__- iswear black ppl get on my nerves sumtimes

  • @carribeanbeauty92 u just spoke my mind.

  • @carribeanbeauty92 Oh men! this is the truth! people need to mind their business! if you want to perm, put heat, weave, braid your hair--no one should judge. Us black people need to be happy about our hair being versatile and having different textures instead of putting each other down. I agree with you.

  • She might not have it heat trained, s-curl spray over time can give you the same effect. At least with mine, anyway, her hair looks nice

  • Your hair is beautiful!

Ignore the haters, some people are just negative and will hate on your hair cause it's gorgeous. Being natural or relaxing hair is a choice I dont understand why people are so juedgmental and like to argue about it. I just read through some of the comments.

  • Her hair is heat trained but what is the big deal? Some people like it. It looks like a relaxer when it is air dried...But she is beautiful and so is her hair!

  • how is your hair so long .....spill :(

  • your hair is really pretty.

  • what do you do to your hair at night?

  • Please do not generalize when you refer to a race of people or any people for that matter.

  • ur hair is so beautiful. i luv it natural. never change it.

  • Hi Nikki, sent you a request at niiki tweet please accept, thanks :-)!

  • What is the lipcolor your wearing?

  • your hair is soooooo beautiful!!!!

  • Hair is gorgeous!!! How you styled it? Please let me know.

  • Comment removed

  • Well You are obviously burning your hair..I see your ends are very straight. You have heat damamge The ends are straighter and gradually it goes curlier as you get to the top. Just keep it straight because curly looks like you have a relaxer on ends..Ugh...

Oh but you look like my best friend so yeah your hair is amazing

  • @mskrys419 What you saying Ugh for? Let her do her, Know you probably mean well, but still....

  • @KTBEverlasting I said ugh because I'm sick of people burning their hair then trying to give hair tips.. Her hair is beautiful and long but the ends need to go!

  • @mskrys419 Well this video was uploaded a year ago, so she probably already did.

  • @mskrys419 youre a hater. her hair is obviously gorgeous.

  • @mskrys419 hate much. criticism and compliments on in one breath. you are obviously a hater. Ha!!! keep hating hater. She's more beautiful than you will ever be. Read her comments. You are in the minority most people think her hair is nice curly!! you are pathetic.

  • Your hair is gorgeous

This is not relevant at all to life but your teeth are perfect :O

  • l like ur hair

    it is natural and nice

  • I don't see why ppl hate on this girl or have misconceptions that her hair is heat trained or damaged. I mean damn go study the natural hair types...its clear that she has 3b-3c hair. Not ALL black females that are natural will have miss celie hair gee whiz.

  • @Ahdree23 was there a reason u chose to use "miss celie" as the adjective/hair type to describe the most common black hair type yet used 3b-3c to describe the video?

  • Love this vid btw! :)

  • I strongly dislike the self righteous attitude that alot of NEW naturals seem to adopt. I've been natural all my life and I'm learning to not harshly criticise people who choose to heat train their hair. I usually suggest that natural is a good way to go in a CONSTRUCTIVE and POSITIVE manner. It's so baffling to me, especially when alot of naturals used to apply heat and chemical straightening methods to their hair. Black women are too quick to tear each other down. Rant over.

  • @liblingsfreizeit thank you. i wear my natural hair but at the same time straighten it out as well. why bash black women what they do with their hair when it's THEIR business? you can wear weaves and your hair still be healthy. i'm tired of all the constant fighting between natural/relaxers. it's stupid because we're all black women.

  • @liblingsfreizeit love your comment

  • @liblingsfreizeit Oh my goodness, preach! I completely agree. Some naturals act like they'll lynch you if you straighten your hair. Too many of them have a disgusting attitude.

  • @liblingsfreizeit nicely said and beautifully done!

  • @liblingsfreizeit

Ditto! I've been natural my whole life and I find so funny when new naturals complain about habits they've only just given up.

On the 'mixed' issue I'm really in 2 frames of mind. On the one hadn I find it ignorant to assume a black woman with long curly hair cannot be fully black but on the other hand I'm not surprised because this has what has been in the media and ordinary life for years. What else can we expect? People are so used to seeing long hair on black women as

  • @tigereyes5 i complete understand where you are coming from, Am mali, I have natural long hair, in the UK people would say you are not western african because you have long hair, which is strange because nigerien and northern nigerians have long soft hair. people dont realise this.

  • @liblingsfreizeit

weaves and only biracial women with long curly hair as their natural hair. Due to lack of knowledge on proper hair care techniques (praise God for the internet) many black women have found that they are unable to grow their hair long. With this ingrained for so long I don't know why people are so shocked when people wonder if black women with long curly hair are biracial; this is what they've been fed their whole lives.

  • @liblingsfreizeit PUH-REACH!

  • @Ms.juvie305 you are very ignorant African American people can have different textures of hair my father has very fine hai and he's AA while my hair is kinky and me and my sisters all have different types of hair some better than others..

  • BTW this is Mrs. but I just wanted to add for me personally I am transitioning out of a relaxer not because I feel like it's damaging but I just don't like my hair looking thin. It's looks and feel so much better to me thick and full. Unfortunately with a relaxer yeah it may look healthy but it doesn't have that full look. I too have curly coils in it's natural state. I love you and your sistas hair. Beautiful!! I'll be there soon =)

  • i kno this sounds wierd but i lke ur teeth lips and hair

  • U R SO BEAUTIFUL. AND SO IS YOUR HAIR MAMA. KEEP UP THE SEXY.

  • @msjuve305 ur comment makes you long seem pretty ignorant to the diveristy in hair textures in the AA community. Why do people think you have to be mixed with something to have a nice hair texture? Both of my parents are Nigerian ive never had a relaxer in my life and my hair is a soft wavy curly pattern and very far frm being corse!!lol

  • @Dancer1908 are u implying that "soft wavy curly pattern" is somehow "nice hair" as opposed to kinky/tightly coiled/coarse hair?

  • @MsJuve305 wat in the world "majority blacks have nappy ass afros" where have u been under a rock? u can click on 5 random natural girls on youtube and there hair is not like that...hell click on 75 videos since u say majority. y does she have to be mixed with something to have nice hair like really. blacks as a whole are all mixed in the u.s unless u happen to actually be from the mother land. hello wat did u doing in history class #musthavebeensleep.

  • @MsJuve305 have you seen longhairdontcare2011, rusticbeauty, and kimmaytube that all have long hair and are not mixed?

  • @MsJuve305 True, not all black people have their hair like hers. But being mixed doesn't mean your hair's going to look like that. Look @ Esperanza Spalding's hair. Her hairs is like 4a/4b hair and her mother is European & Native American and her father is African American. She's mixed but her texture is much more nappier than Nikki's (girl in the video). It really just depends on whatever factor.

  • @MsJuve305 How what you know what the majority of blacks have? I'm natural and my father is from Nigeria/Africa and my mother is an African-American and I don't have a "nappy asss afros." You obviously don't know much about African-American hair. The only time I had nappy hair was when I was relaxed. And thats because my hair was under processed from those terrible chemicals that dried out and damaged my hair.

  • @MsJuve305 You have serious issues!

  • @MsJuve305 poor thing

  • love the lipgloss!

  • omfg you and your hair are beautiful!

  • I LOVE BLACK WOMEN WITH NATURAL HAIR.

  • luv ur hair

  • Ya'll dress really cute and I like your hair thats how my curl pattern is

  • Umm, i've been getting perms since I was like nine and my hair is past bra strap length! And i'm fully black, yes I have a little indian in me but it's like 15%!

  • VERY very cute hair.

  • WHEN YOUR HAIR DRIES DOES IT STILL LOOK LIKE THAT??

  • Love it! Thanks for sharing.

  • LETS SEE THE SCALP !!!!!! aka THE ROOTS LMAO

  • @margrianna ..... yeah right! LOL The truth will be revealed.

  • @margrianna that's her real hair you retard

  • i lik it curly better

  • Her hair is nice although heat damaged which is why it lacks the tightness if the curls. I am a natural with 3c hair

  • you're my hair twin. love it!

  • @dukes786 you can't spell

  • @dukes786 Why so angry? And why are you emotionally invested in someone else's hair? I see this is a theme for you, going onto Black women's video's and calling them names because they have long hair. Are you jealous? Just grow your own hair.

  • Well DUH! black women's hair grows. If black women couldn't grow hair they wouldn't have any on their heads in the first place and you wouldn't need to touch up your relaxer every 6 weeks b/c of all your new "growth"...

Once you learn how to take care of your hair properly (i.e protect your ends, deep condition, less heat, less relaxer)...then maybe you'll actually keep the hair that you grow instead of having it break faster than it grows.

  • Your the black image. natural hair ; thick full lips. defined cheekbones. So much beauty here i love it =)

  • Hey I love you and your sister's videos, you guys have beautiful hair! I am actually mixed and have naturally curly hair and my hair texture used to look like yours Nikki and then when I was 10, I got my hair cut and my curls tightned up and has never grown back long like it used to be..it's shoulder length now. What kind of tips do you have for getting back the texture I used to have? Will it come as it grows longer? Or will my curls always be tight now?

  • @desire2dance427 deep conditioning often is always a great way to prevent breakage and grow healthy hair. When the hair is shoulder length it is very vulnerable to take care of it.

  • is it dry?

  • oh my god wear your hair like that alll the time

my hair looks nothing like that when its curly.

  • I like your nail color .. What is it ?

  • being that you are natural and your hair isn't "stiff" as most girls on videos is that how your hair grows or is there something you do to it to make it lay down. I am natural and i know natural hair changes with lenght cause i am going thru that now...

  • you are really really pretty!!!!

  • u look like megan from ulovemegz youtube channel

  • I think your hair looks better like that.

  • people say "good hair" becuz dere idea of beauty is what dey consider "good hair"....... dat doesnt neccessarily mean anybody has bad hair jus depends on what u like...... i stopped saying "good hair", and started sayin beautiful hair, her hair is very pretty

  • omg finnally i found someone with my type of hair but damn im still mixed lol but we have the same type of hair your hair is cute also

  • what exactly is your texture? im guessing its not very coarse right? its looks soft or do you use products for that?

  • @Yahnaworld1 Looks like she is heat trained. She uses heat regularly and as a result she is constantly breaking the protein bonds in her hair and it loses its elasticity giving it that looser textured look. I prefer kinky textured long hair b/c it's not something you see everyday, and so I choose not to use heat often b/c I'm trying to preserve my kinks n coils.

  • @azungusanyera I agree with you. Constant heat does break down the protein bonds in your hair. Cause when I first saw this video I was like her hair looks almost like a biracial girls hair sort of.

  • @gmcmim1 yeah. i think she's heat-trained though unintentionally. straightening your hair so much loosens the pattern over time

  • @breakdancebrooklyn yeah, it does. she better take a break for a while.

  • @azungusanyera very true...i ruined my kinks and coils at the top =(

  • @azungusanyera i've been natural for a couple of months, and it's nice to see someone who thinks like this, thank you, this was desprately needed

  • @azungusanyera i agree

  • @azungusanyera Very true. If you heat train your hair it will loosen the curl pattern resulting in a more wavy, or loose curls, or a mixture of straight and loose curls. I had a African roommate that was natural and after years of pressing her hair it loosened her curls or kinks. Don't know if it's better than a relaxer because it's heat instead. But she does straighten her hair and I have heard a lot of women considering heat training. To each their own. :)

  • i love your hair like that! im on a looooong journey to growing my hair out. I'm just starting. have you always had long hair or was it very damaged and then you started taking care of it? how long did it take you?

  • love ur ring and your nail polish pretty hair :)

  • @majenfo are you kidding me with the GOOD hair thing? SMDH.good hair is healthy hair

  • @mimi42428 no we all know what we're talking about here. i know all hair is good hair but i was referring to hair that lies flat naturally and looks like you have a braidout. let's not get ridiculous with the obsession over being politically correct

  • @majenfoif you say so! lets just leave it at that

  • @majenfo good hair, yes they have good hair bc they have healthy hair. and so do rustic beauty kimmaytube and itsmsheathernicole are gave GOOD HAIR(healthy) also, and they have the most common black hair texture

  • @majenfo you do sound ignorant.

  • i have perm hair but i want to grow it out and start back natural. how can i get the curly look once i do that??

  • @joceylyn11208 That all depends on what your natural texture is.

  • @STARRiNGLOLiTA yeah i figured that but yeah last time i had a perm was jan and my hair still look straight but yeah i want to grow it out tho im tired of this chemical hair......

  • Hey, I love your hair!!! I wanted to know what products did you put in your hair or style to keep it looking like this when it is dry.

  • Especially if you wear it in the curly look because a lot of black people (American black people) don't even know their hair looks like that. If you go to other countries, London, France etc. and see the black people there, they do not have the same hair epidemic. They are not getting nearly the amount of relaxers and weaves etc. that we are getting, which is what keeps our hair from growing.

  • @bunbun5877 actually black women all over the world have the same hair issues pretty much. i have family in london, i've been ther very often... i'd venture to say they have it a little worse

  • What Ive noticed is that things work in both ways. People dont just see a brown skinned girl and assume she cant grow her hair long, but if you are brown skinned and your hair is long, they will also assume you are mixed. The connotation works both ways. You could never have been asked if you are mixed in your life, but grow your hair out, and people will start asking you.

  • @bunbun5877 OMG SO SO SO SO TRUE

  • @bunbun5877 OR if you have any type of curl pattern. my hair isnt even long and i get ppl TELLING me i'm mixed w. indian wtf.

  • @214Eazy if you look at her other videos youll see her hair thats not a weave

  • @214Eazy say what you want to say, lol. it is her hair. did you not see her other videos, lol.

  • i think your hair looks better like this

  • gorgeous hair girl! u go

  • I want to go natural. Is it ok to wear a sew-in weave for about a year to let your natural hair grow out?

  • erykah badu telephone lol

  • hey, what type of nail polish and what color it is super cute

  • I LOVE your hair ; its goregous.

  • wow my bad soo sorry minderstand nd i was tryna be rude just a miss understanding xxx love the vids and i defo aggree with trimming we definitly need to rub out the idea that trimming isnt good

  • @camillasugalipsxxx she ddnt say she straighten her hair every two weeks .. I believe i know what vid your talking bout

  • im not trying to be rude or anything but ur hair kinda looks like its lost its natural hair partern because of the amount of heat u put on it i think in one ov ur vids u said u flat iron evry two weeks or something but if its not heat damaged or looosened what is ur natural hair type ??

  • Very beautiful! thinking of transitioning..definitely an inspiration!

  • i wish my hair looked like that in its natural state ): you're lucky .

  • your hair is gorgeous! :-)

  • love your natural hair ! better ;D

  • i love your natural curl pattern it almost looks tex-laxed

  • i feel bad 4 making that stupid comment on the other vid...just wanted 2 say sorry :(

it was ignorant, and maybe i was hatin a lil' bit, but all in all, im glad these girls r representing all beautiful black girls who take good care of their hair & have good results. this just proves the stereotypes to be false & stupid

  • i have no idea what your other comment was, but that is really big of you to apologize.

  • @dustyrose01 theyre repping for themselves not me

  • @dustyrose01 what comment did you make ?

  • @dustyrose01 - IT TAKES A REAL MAN TO DO THAT.. GREAT EXAMPLE FOR THE REST OF US IN SWALLOWING PRIDE

  • @dustyrose01 took balls to admit ....kutos
