U can duplicate in diamond and pearl, by going to the wifi trade place and trading a pokemon then turning ur game off right before the trade is accpeted u have to have 1 space in ur party and u need to be careful but dont take my word for it i dont want ot be reponsible for making u lose ur pokemon. first try it with a shitty one.

1st you save the game in front of a pc then you leave the desired pokemon in an empty box only with *Deposit pokemon* never with *Move Pokemon*after that you must save your game double then u withdraw you pokemon only with *Withdraw pokemon* then you save again and when it says *Savind dont turn of the power* Turn of the you console when you turn it on again it will be cloned check your party and ur pc box!
