  • wow, she is so amazing :o !! this live version is really good!

  • I bet 64 people dont like Asians

  • she can sing

  • except for Pia Douwes.... NOBODY CAN TOP THIS!

  • i believe this version is better. I dont know, it just seems prettier to me.

  • i should go to sleep. its 3 in the morning. but her voice is so hypnotic.....

  • i watched this movie and its very touching. the music too

  • I feel the wind in my hair hearing this! Amazing!!!!!

  • wow she's amazing , but you already knew that . :)

  • "you think im a nigga ass salvage"

  • Godly voice

  • That's live. Seriously, I'm so proud of Lea. She's a filipinoooo. :))

  • @pikachu00013 Filipino Pride:D!

  • 63 peoples cannot paint with the colours of the wind.

  • Yes! its suits also.. But Judi Kuhn was More best suitable for Pocahontas voice.. coz more power and strong woman's voice.. coz lea was so feminine, thin voice lioke a princess.. but poca was a princes also but she is a american indian princess.. bottom line is she is different from the other..maybe all singers was auditioned for that and the judge or disney family choosed judi. But im not saying lea was not Good huh...i love lea too...

  • @ronikapur Lea has a thin voice? Really? Really?

  • @H1delta I think what she means is light =)

  • @Hikutachama While I'm aware it's an opinion but her voice is neither light nor thin. And if s/he knew anything about Pocahontas, she was only 12 when she saved John Smith's life from being taken away by her father. So a thin or light voice will more accurately describe a 12 year old's voice, IMHO. Of course, I could be wrong. Peace be upon you.

  • Holy crap she's amazing.

  • i now have an urge to go and watch all the disney movies!! :)

  • PERCECT VOICE!!! and it's LIVE VERSION! OMG!

  • Yes, Lea is in the same league as Sissel, Hayley Westenra, Kath Jenkins, Mirusia, Helene, Celine, Meav.... Such heavenly voices, so pure, so angelic!

  • I love Lea's voice!

  • Ms. Lea's version is beautiful indeed, but I prefer Ms. Kuhn's original.

  • Wow she´s totally awesome and she has such an amazing voice!

  • Lea does, what? Jasmine, Mulan, and Pocahontas? I see why -- she's amazingly talented.

  • @brokenxrecordsx only Jasmine and Mulan, actually. Pocahontas role in the movie is sung by Judy Kuhn. This was taken from one of Ms. Salonga's live performances, I believe.

  • @brokenxrecordsx She's does Jasmine and Mulan

  • Lea salonga is a disney legend!

  • i really love lea.... i just hope soon she'll sing another opm that'll hit the hearts of other countries....

  • AMAZING VOICE!

  • mp3 link of this PLEASE

  • The lip sinc is mostly perfect @.@ I get lost when I hear her voice xD I like zone out >_>

  • What a great song and Lea is a great singer. She is the singing voice for Jasmine and for Mulan. How could 62 people dislike this? Must be deaf or maybe was just sippin' on hater-aid. I was a back up choir director and a section leader for basses and tenors. In other words, she is an awesome singer and can sing a solo at my church whenever she wants to.

  • Lea has one hell of a voice....it's so powerful! Just amazing. And she's beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so she made her own version? i was confused a bit because i knew it wasn't her that the movie used...

  • @regoredragal well if i'll based it , Lea's version is more perfect than the original singer of this song

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSEBUMPS people. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • Where is the live song from?

  • 62 people can't sing

  • world class entertainer...lea salonga

  • Leah is truly a remarkable singer. She's one of the many reasons why I'm proud to be a Filipino ^_^

  • beautiful!

  • gr8 song, this version is by far the best on so many levels

  • I love this number! great voice...

  • Lea Salonga super brzmi w tej piosence. Chociaż w Les Miserables jako Eponina, nie zrobiła na mnie jakiegoś specjalnego wrażenia ;)

  • Judy Kuhn, not Lea.

  • is this Judy Kuhn or Lea Salonga??? I'm confused

  • @Lumbad2010 in this vid it's Lea Salonga...but in the movie it's Judy.

  • lea saloga is the most amazing singer i have ever heard! and i just have to say that pocahontas has the most amazing hair i have ever seen!

  • @L8Rdudesanddudettes hahaha! i agree

  • I love her voice! It's so sweet and perfect! The real voice of Disney!

  • Beautiful. Her voice just soars!

  • amazing

  • Judy Kuhn's version of the song is good but this is just absolutly amazing, I much prefer Lea Salonga!

  • @MeeMobobby And this is live!

  • still love this song! the message is so beautiful!

  • I have both versions in my mp3~! i love this song

  • niiiccceeee

  • You know how some Disney movies have redubs, like French 1989 and 1998? If they ever redid the English version of Pocahontas, I think this would be it <3 I certainly love Judy Kuhn's version, though, don't get me wrong :)

  • Holy crap this woman IS AMAZING. And this is live? WTHHHHHH GIVE HER ALL THE AWARDS IN THE WORLD.

  • shes amazing!

p.s. i wish they still hand drew disney movies, and i wish they actually had a meaning to them ( like in this one! ) but nowadays, i feel like disney movies aren't as magical

  • jesus this song is so good it gives me chills. esp at 2:30. awesome awesome job

  • 60 people didnt have a childhood!!!

  • @hannahspannerbananag soo true~

  • this makes me want 2 see the movie again

  • I like Judy who was the voice of Pocahontas. but I love Lea's voice

  • for me she's a disney princess :(

  • lea salonga all the way!!

  • Disney's movies are classics because they don't settle for mediocrity with their staff. All of their singers, animators, artists, music directors, everything, are the best. So good. Each Disney movie is a treasure. A treat.

  • @ranhill This is from a live concert and she met her usual high standard. Rushed or not, this version is superb. Lea's live songs are better than most studio recorded songs.

  • comment is open to all. let them be as long as they dont use bad words to the person involve. thats human!!

thumbs up lea! we are proud of you!!

  • I think Judy fit the part better but still I love Lea. My favorite singer and Disney princess in one is a miracle!!

  • I like Lea and Judy version. Nuff said.

  • she will forever be the singing voice of princess jasmine =]

amazing voice, she can do any song and make it sound completely effortless

  • @ilovenatW for me she's mulan.

  • JudyWho?(TM). Nuff said.

  • This video is about Lea Salonga's version of the song. Don't insult her by mentioning names of singers/actresses BENEATH her.

  • Comment removed

  • Lea Salonga's voice is better. Period.

  • yea I couldn't tell the difference. I thought it was the same person

  • Judy sounds older and wiser, Lea sounds young and idealistic, which I think fits the part better.

  • @Jayloroma

    I agree 100%

  • 2:49

    always goosebumps in the part...!

  • Lea can turn I song I really didn't care for into a godly track.

  • yess mel gibson

  • lea solonga is one of my most favoritest disney singing voices. :p <3 along with jodi benson. <3

  • I went back and forth comparing the different versions of this song. I listened to Vanessa Williams, Judy Kuhn and even Vanessa Hudgens. Lea Salonga's version is more vibrant and full of zest. But I am glad they came up with different interpretations because how boring is that is they just immitated each other. My personal choice is Lea's because I really love her voice and I love listening to the CD more than watching the DVD.

  • Pocahontas has been portrayed to have a LOW voice, and so Lea Salonga's Soprano voice doesn't seem to fit Pocahontas anymore. Ones U know how the character actually has been done to sound as, U won't accept a different voice anymore.

Lea Salonga did a really nice job I think, though here voice is much more livelier than the scene

  • well Judy's voice is much suited for low notes with a little meddling of high notes and a little fast tempo, but Lea's voice is for slow tempo long high notes, but there's nothing to compare for both of them cause their amazing performers in their on way

  • Ok, so while we're arguing Lea Salonga vs. Judy Kuhn, are we Team Cosette or Team Eponine? :-p

  • @witherwings14 Considering Pocahontas was only 14 when the Captain met her, doesn't it make sense to have a more youthful voice (Lea) rather than maturity? I think so

    .

  • @harleykman Since when were Disney movies accurate? Does Pocahontas really look 14 in the movie?

  • @TackyNames Well, anime can't really draw 14 year olds. Plus, 14 year olds can look like Pocahontas in this movie. Just saying.

  • Lea Salonga is more "Jasmine" than Pocahontas

  • @arumdriya no i think shes more mulan

  • lea salonga's version is much better.

  • Lea's amazing, her voice makes me cry

  • I think Judy Kuhn's voice fits Pocahontas more... but Lea Salonga is a really good singer nonetheless.

  • Love the song but it's not as good as the original. Judy's voice is more earthy and grounded and comes more from the soul!!! but still a good interpretation!!

  • Lea's voice is truly remarkable. I love her.

  • Damn, it's completely flawless and just so pretty.

  • Wow, this gave me goosebumps in a good way, especially 1:17-1:26. Damn, what a voice

  • Honestly thwey both do pretty amazing :D

  • @ MissAliiciia yup ur ryt she did not do this one. She just made a version.. Judy kuhn was the singing voice of Pocahontas. Buy Lea was the singing voice for mulan and jasmine.

  • Did Lea do Pocahontas voice?? I know she did Mulan... but I don't think she did this one?

  • @MissAliiciia No she did not. It's Judy Kuhn.

  • her voice gives me goosebumps, especially at the chorus.

  • I don't like this version, it's too fast and her voice is too high and not as deep and powerful.

  • 1:15 WOW

    love this song <3

  • sara ramirez!

  • I like both Lea and Judy's versions, but Im more used to Judy's version

  • Goosebumps... Goosebumps and tears.... ;u;

  • karon pako kabalo ka lea salonga ni na voice. grabe ka nice oi. ikalamatay jud as in.

  • beautiful!!

  • Both Lea and Judy do an excellent rendition of this song. I really enjoy Lea's voice in songs like these. She is absolutely flawless.

  • Bravo! Listen to the song and you'll feel carried away... feels like you're there

  • Who's crazy enough to pick up a bear cub?

  • Hmmm, I think Avatar got their storyline from this song. hahaha.

  • @kellycats hahahahahahahhaa that´s good xD

  • @kellycats Wow never realised till you posted it but that is soooo true. Lol

  • @kellycats They got their story line from this story line.

  • of course Lea Salonga is BEST. she won the Olivier (1990), and the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards (1991) for Best Actress in a Musical for her work in "Miss Saigon"

  • oh, my I didn't know that this is Lea Salonga's voice .so great

  • wow the lyrics of this song is just genius~ my favorite is "you think the only people who are people--are the people who look and think like you" i can relate to this song alot

  • I love this song

  • i love this version so much and this is live.

  • This is a beautiful song! =D

This song is an inspriration for some people.

  • ... I really love the voice of Lea Salonga!!! ;)

  • lea salonga had a good run with disney

  • nice, liked this one

  • judy kuhn's version is better. but shes good too

  • try to listen first to the original voice over, then come back here and hear Lea's rendition of the voice over... you can see Lea's voice is more powerful...

  • whoa... i keep having goosebumps..... she's so great! love her...!

  • wow - it really brings memorys - love disney ,love her voice !

  • i like judy kuhn's version better, but this is ok, they definatley casted the singing voice of pocahontas correctly.

  • She sang this in her concert 'Songs From The Screen'

  • Don't hate the both singers of this song, they are both amazing singers,it's true so don't say bad to these two amazing singers.Love them both.

  • lea voice sounds really good

  • I think Judy was great, but u can't deny how good Lea sounds with this song.

  • wooooh,....that's our very own LEA SALONGA.......... she has a great voice...i'm a big fan of lea salonga...she opened a big door for filipinos in hollywood....we filipinos her kababayans in philippines love her so much you really make us proud Lea... :)

i really like the musicals.,,,the classic disney musicals are greater than new musicals...basta...its really different..just watch it...their voices and blending are more better...go lea salonga...

    we ♥ you....

  • @sakusakuraku you know theres not that many pinoys/pinays that make it, but when we do we fucking leaving our mark. Lea became one of the best musical singers of all time

  • personally i feel judy Khun has a more richer voice which corresponds to the character of pocohontas imo. i always see Pocohontas sounding less sweet and pure.

  • She sings this beautifully

  • i really luv lea. she's just so great. this was a beatiful rendition. however, i luv the original better- the one by judy kuhn.her voice and singing fits the song and the character better. she really is pocahontas...

  • Lea Salonga For the WIN. She's the best Disney singer.

  • @Rachaelh007 what about jodi benson?? ariel!

  • @Rachaelh007 She's pretty much the only Disney singer. :)

  • She can sing live

  • i love this song....

  • She should have sung this instead.

  • Her voice is amazing, she rocks!

  • Type in, Lia Zanatta. The 18 y/o SuperStar from Australia taking the world by Storm!

  • it's best to see her perform live!

  • ',.her voice is amazing!!!..i just love her...

  • omg she sings beautifully :)

  • it's the diction. i love it!

  • Beautifullll

  • i like this version better, even though judy kuhn is amazing, lea salonga's voice just soars in this song and it sounds amazing.

  • wow! Lea salonga sang a lot of the disney movie songs. i LOVE her voice!

  • 1:17~1:26

    feels sad

  • This is kind of my favorite version of this song. XD The way she holds her notes or something... I just love it.

  • best version

  • Lea Solonga sings this beautifully, but Judy Kuhn IS Pocahontas.
