I'm not that great with numbers but I calculate that to get 80,000.0 eighty thousand hits on one video at 0.25cents per hit that is 20,000.0 twenty thousand dollars so, I suppose that if my video was getting loads of hits it would send me bankrupt. i think the youtube sponsor thing doesn't make alot of sense. maybe i misunderstand how it works, but it seems like the only difference between sponsoring a video and putting the same tags as used in the sponsor for the video, is that the sponsored video might be more likely to be shown on the first page, plus u have to pay for it. also, how does the pricing work? is it like if u pay more than someone else to get ur video sponsored, and u have the same tags, their video will show up before urs?

I agree with rachelroxmyhatoff. I think the concept is awesome, but even if I pay a penny per view, how does that add up against traditional advertising avenues? What's the benefit for paying? How does your video get promoted more than the free service? I watched Matt's video and youtube should barter with some its subcribers to produce their own promotions! That's a win/win scenario!
