The Sudeten Germans wanted home rule and therefore there was nothing wrong with Chamberlains`appeasement policy in the Munich Agreement. Hitler`s aggression started afterwards.
@Misame5 Apparently I do not need to sort out things like that to make sense when I am actually just dropping a sentence that makes you understand your ''nickname'' (dumi)...
Unfortunately your remark was actually a failure, because you heard him say ''heil'' when you should have heard ''Herr'' and assuming that, of all people, Chamberlain would make such a prophetic remark is just an erratic display of misinterpretation.
@rocksparadox I hope you are not trying to insult me over the internet as you are evidently illiterate, in case you have not noticed anime is a mammoth influence on WORLD culture even so, this video has nothing to do with anime or "vely tiny penuz".
Starting an internet argument is pointless to be honest, but that goes without saying,
France and Britain they wanted Germany to grow even if it was nazi Germany because they feared Soviet Union. They wanted strong Germany as "shield" against communism so Germans could do the dirtiest job instead of France and UK. western powers knew very well how to fight war to the last drop of their allies blood. diplomacy failed and monster Hitler fed to fight Soviets attacked them first. If Hitler didnt attack them in 1940 they could help him against Soviets even knowing about Auschwitz
In retrospect, it is clear that it would've been better to expel Sudetan Germans out of Czechoslovakia (which was done anyway), or even to declare an outright war on Germany, march in and depose Hitler (which was also done anyway).
Now we are heading for the next round of the same thing. Because we have learned nothing.
As I listen to President Obama speak of the end of the combat military role in Iraq I am reminded of Prime Minister Chamberlain and his selling of Europe for political reasons. His telling the people of Iraq that it is now up to them - the faith of the world in the word of the United States has been compromised again. The death of over 4,000 brave women and men has been cheated and laid bare - he calls this a trust - he has turned his back on the fighting men and women of the United States.
@Bestideasyet , I feel more sorry for those who suffered because of his ignorance in not being able to learn from history that appeasement has never been a course of action to satisfy any enemy. The Democrats have tried this over and over and usually ends with our enemies firing at us with our own weapons. Bill Clinton gave nuclear technology to North Korea and look where that got us!
Obama has sacrificed our security by releasing interrogation techniques, closing Gitmo, apologizing throughout the world for the USA, WE, who saved the world over and over...& the beat goes on. If you cannot see this "piece of paper" that symbolically B.O. waves constantly, may the Lord help you. B.O. makes blanket statements from the teleprompter, then has to retract because Polosi & Murtha don't want terrorists in their districts! Only elsewhere. Nothing is thought through with this regime.
Neville Chamberlain and Barack Hussein Obama parallel each other. Obama thinks the whole world loves him, adores him, and that we will have no enemies because of the force of the "great one's" personality and charm. BUNK! ! !
Obama is dangerous, naive, a thin-as-paper resume, radical and racist friends like Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezco/Blagovich, Wm.Ayers, and the media slobbers over his every word..read from a teleprompter. He's a smooth-talking, reassuring, know-nothing-an EMPTY SUIT! ! !
And where did you come up with that from? The United States President isn't holding up a piece of paper saying he has sign a non war pact with some other country.
You need to start listening and using your mind and not comming out with far fetched ideas of others. Go find some other friends or something.
Seattle: It's called "APPEASEMENT"--to our enemies; making nice with people that want to kill you, your family and me-Abdinijad, The Taliban, Osama-Al Queda, etc...that Bush knew we have enemies--they are NOT our friends, like Neville Chamberlain later discovered when he tried to make nice with despots, dictators, evil men. Obama is SO terribly naive, sucking up to the Mohammedans, while sticking a thumb in the eye of the only democracy in the region-Israel. Obama is so somphomoric it is sad!
Agin name one Taliban leader the President of the United States has met with and made nice with.
Name one Al Qeada member he has made nice with.
I dont see it, I see Prime Minister Neville Chamerlin siging a deal. Appeasement as you so put it. It would seem to anyone that looks at this closely and use there own mind might see you, and others who are in the same circle like talks of aggression.
There is no need for that now, its not that time and may not come to that.
Oh, how easily we forget. I'm sure you failed your high school history classes. That is, if you ever went to high school at all, instead of living off ACORN sex trafficking money without so much as a GED.
Fighting our modern-day Fascists will be at least twice as hard this time around. Know why? Because the Nazis aren't just an external threat to be vanquished now. They're in our schools, preaching to our children. They're in our universities, indoctrinating our youth. That's where they are.
@BigBingFan Chamberlain was representing the league of nations and FDR supported his attempts to avoid war. FDR stood back when he was needed and showed no principles. Hitler was not going to be stopped at any price, he was a maniac.
Chamberlain tried to avoid war, then when it happened he fought back and did not turn coat. The USA should have fought with the UK from day one and Hitler would have been stopped.
@warriorprince1010 As I remember, FDR wanted to fight but the American isolationist policy in keeping out of European affairs was still too strong, as was the ghost of Theodore Roosevelt, whose decision to enter WWI proved disastrous for his government. It took Pearl Harbour to shut up the isolationists and let FDR have his way.
@warriorprince1010 Britain and France shouldn't sell Czechoslovakia to Hitler and help us. We would stop him, when he was weak and millions of people should live..
No, my friend, YOU think that Obama thinks that the whole world loves him. A lot of the world actually do! He's a great leader for his ideals, and what he hopefully will achieve. ;)

@Misame5 Btw, why are you such a pedantic anime fan ?
Are you in the shameful possession of a vely tiny penuz?
Please go ahead and tell me how wonderful and culturally sound your little emo cartoons are :D !!!
Please go ahead and try to spellcheck me again, instead of looking at the facts..
Maybe you should avoid absorbing reality altogether, in your case it could make one very sad.
Take care now, byebye then.

one has to feel sorry for Chamberlain. Hitler betrayed the agreement and the English today are on the way to becoming a minority and dying out.
Hopefully history will appreciate his efforts.
