I'm trying to do this now, but for some reason my ROM files aren't being read properly by any of the emulators, I just get black screens. Do I have to set a pathway somewhere, change a default setting?
Nice man.. love the video. I have a 320gb and a 250gb hard drive maxxed the 320 out. got a bunch of roms(altogether prob over 500) 100 xbox gamesish and i think 150 movies compressed into .avi to save a few gigs. Also got my hole music library 1,200 songs. Xbox rules!! If only the 360 did that much
Just go to settings there u find the game,Ahh 500gb hdd full rom sets all emulators 100dreds movies 100dred odd xbox games heaps music video clips.List goes on,
I find that hard to believe, being that if you had 100 full XBox games, that'd already be about 400 GBs out of 500GB. So at what garbage quality are your "100s" of movies?
@Phildor Most games are less than 4 gig. Most are between 1.5 GB and 3 GB, so right now on mine I have 92 original xbox games and every emulator and respective game, including 20GB of LD images for Daphne (Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, etc) and about 9GB of Scumm games. I also have over 70 movies and both hard drives have about 30gb left of space.
OK I need some help.... Is it possible to find the folder that the game is copied in?? I want to free up some space for other games and I was going to FTP it to my laptop. I know how to FTP but I can't find the game that is on my xbox.... Also I am running UnleashX then XBMC as an App
A freshly modded XBox doesn't have any games stored on the hard drive.
There are only games on it if you transfer them yourself (in that respect, you should know where they are). The default director for games is simply the "games" folder.
I have Doom3 ROE on my xbox but I want to put it onto my Laptop so I can free up space for other games. (So whenever I want to play a game i just FTP it to my xbox and when I'm done I can get rid of it for other games.)
Indeed. If you have a dash like this, or EvoX or UnleashX, all you have to do is pop in the game you want to back up and use the file manager to copy it to your hard drive. Just be careful about filling up the drive, because unless you replace the drive in your Box with something bigger, an unmodded XBox usually only has enough space to fit a game or two.
With emulators, you need to set up an FTP connection with your computer and then you can just FTP the emulators over.
hey I have Unleash x man but it doesnt have any applications or any of those things you have all I want to do is play some copied dvd xbox games but I already tried and my xbox cant read any of
them and I dont have DVD2Xbox so I cant copy them to the HD and about the emulator I dont have internet is there another way to put the emulators like in a disk or something please help man Im new at this shit :(
You have to download the applications yourself. Try looking online for a tutorial on how to connect to the XBins server, which is a great place to get apps. As for putting files on your XBox, you don't need DVD2XBox. You just turn on your XBox, pop in the game, and use the file manager to copy the game files from the disc to your hard drive.
Get yourself a Memory card and a copy of splinter cell (Original) and I will give you the data needed to have XBMC plus all emulators for a small price. 5 quid should do it.

Alright, well then like I said before, the default folder for games is "Games" on your E drive.
You put it on your box yourself, right?
