Caliform, you need to heighten the fence so mobs won't go onto the farm and jump through the fence, and make your house a tower as a second floor that's lit up so you can find it after an exploration

Vines are good for puting over open windows to make them arrow proof, or you can use them on a server to camoflauge your house along with logs, leaves, etc.

Caliform, I HIGHLY suggest turning your collected vines into curtains! JUST DO NOT USE IN FRONT OF DOORS. THEY WILL BLOCK ACCESS TO THE DOOR...At least, if the vines are on the outside half of the door.
